Forbes’s 2026 under-30 list identifies Sualeh Asif, 26, as a Pakistani billionaire and Cursor cofounder from Karachi. It estimates his net worth at $1.3 billion as of March 1, 2026. Forbes’s later real-time profile shows a different estimate—$2.6 billion as of September 27, 2026. Those figures are estimates from different dates, not proof of a liquid fortune. The available reporting calls Asif the only Pakistani billionaire on that particular under-30 list; it does not establish that he is Pakistan’s youngest billionaire overall.
Who is Sualeh Asif?
Sualeh Asif is a Pakistani technology entrepreneur originally from Karachi. Forbes identifies him as a cofounder and chief technology officer of Cursor, a company that makes AI coding software. Its About page describes the company and its product.
In its 2026 under-30 billionaire coverage, Forbes lists Asif as 26 years old, a Pakistani citizen, and a billionaire whose source of wealth is AI software. The list includes 35 people under 30, 12 of them self-made, according to Forbes’s reporting.
What is Sualeh Asif’s net worth?
Forbes reported two different estimates tied to two different dates and formats:

| Forbes source | Reported estimate | Date attached to estimate |
|---|---|---|
| 2026 under-30 list | $1.3 billion | As of March 1, 2026 |
| Real-time profile | $2.6 billion | As of September 27, 2026 |
These are not interchangeable snapshots: the first is an annual-list estimate with a stated cutoff date, while the second is the figure displayed by Forbes’s real-time profile on a later date. Neither source establishes that Asif holds that amount in cash or readily accessible assets. Forbes’s profile page also contains conflicting timing: its live field gives a September 27, 2026 estimate, while an editorial label says the profile was last updated March 10, 2026. Treat the dates as source-specific rather than as a verified account of how or when his wealth changed.
Is Sualeh Asif Pakistan’s youngest billionaire?
The precise claim supported by Forbes’s 2026 list is narrower: Asif is the only billionaire from Pakistan included on that year’s under-30 list. That does not by itself rank him against every Pakistani billionaire or prove he is the youngest billionaire in the country. The title “Pakistan’s youngest billionaire” should therefore be understood as a broader claim than the cited list establishes.

How is Asif’s wealth connected to Cursor?
Forbes attributes Asif’s wealth to AI software and identifies him as Cursor’s cofounder and CTO. The available sources do not provide a detailed breakdown of his assets, ownership stake, or the valuation method behind the estimates, so they do not support calculating how much of the reported net worth is tied to Cursor.
Forbes’s profile also asserts that Cursor was acquired by SpaceX for $60 billion in August 2026, but the same page carries a “Last Updated Mar 10, 2026” label—before the asserted acquisition date. Because that internal date conflict is unresolved, the acquisition and price should not be treated as confirmed on the basis of that profile alone.
