Salmoni’s role on the show is design. Seneca Polytechnic’s June 1, 2022 profile describes her as an interior designer who co-hosts Scott’s Vacation House Rules with HGTV star Scott McGillivray, and says the show debuted in 2020. Her own business biography identifies her as principal designer and founder of Debra Lillian Design and cites more than 14 years of interior-design experience. That page carries no publication date, so present the experience figure as her current self-description rather than a dated fact.
A 2023 Corus Entertainment announcement for season four describes McGillivray as a real-estate expert and contractor and Salmoni as the show’s designer. That split matters when reading her credits: her work is interiors and design, not real estate or construction.

Seneca Polytechnic reports that Salmoni grew up in Brampton, Ontario, with family members in construction. She started working at age 15 for home-furnishings retailer Bombay Company, where she helped customers choose furniture and coordinate pieces. She graduated from Seneca’s Business Administration – Marketing advanced diploma program in 2008.

The profile does not give the year of that casting, so it should be read as her account rather than a dated production record.

In the same interview, Salmoni said her company then had seven employees and an average of 30 to 40 projects underway at once:

These are self-reported numbers from June 2022. They describe the business at that point, not its current staffing, revenue, or profit, and they say nothing about her personal income or assets. A company’s size does not translate into its owner’s net worth, because a business can carry payroll, overhead and debt, and a founder’s personal wealth depends on how much of that value she actually owns and controls.
What can be said about her net worth
