Walmart removed two Skrewdriver-related shirts that had appeared on Walmart.com through third-party retailers, according to a September 23, 2024 report. The listings were not described as products Walmart manufactured or sold directly.
What appeared on Walmart.com?
Rolling Stone, in a report republished by Yahoo News on September 23, 2024, described two designs offered by different third-party retailers. Screenshots taken that Monday morning showed the shirts on Walmart’s website.

- One design showed a raised white fist, with the words “White Power” beneath the band’s name.
- The other used artwork associated with Skrewdriver’s Boots and Braces. The report says the album was released in 1987 and later became a compilation with Voice of Britain; both titles appeared on the shirt.
Did Walmart remove the shirts?
Yes. The listings had been removed by the time the September 23 report was published. The report does not establish how long they had been available, whether any shirts were purchased, or the identities of the retailers.
Why the third-party seller detail matters
The report characterized Skrewdriver as a white-power group, but described the shirts as third-party marketplace listings. A listing hosted on Walmart.com is not, by itself, evidence that Walmart made the product or sold it directly. The 2024 report includes no statement from a named Walmart representative about those specific listings.

A separate Walmart marketplace case in 2025
In November 2025, different Walmart marketplace listings drew attention for “paper beats rock” imagery. The Independent reported that Walmart U.S. marketplace communications director Blair Cromwell said those products came from a third-party seller, were removed after being flagged, and that the seller was terminated. Cromwell said, “We have zero tolerance for any prohibited or offensive products appearing on our Marketplace.” That statement concerned the separate 2025 incident; it does not establish Walmart’s internal actions in 2024.
