Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s former home in Alpharetta, Georgia, was listed for $1.9 million in October 2022. It later sold for a reported $1,843,250 on January 6, 2023, so the headline asking price is not the home’s current status or its final reported sale price. The 7,734-square-foot property is at 1014 Tullamore Place in the Country Club of the South community.

Where is Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s former home?

The house is at 1014 Tullamore Place in Alpharetta, Georgia, within the Country Club of the South community. The October 2022 listing and subsequent property records describe a roughly 0.6-acre lot and a 7,734-square-foot home.

Abode2 quoted later homeowner Danielle Chevalier saying her family chose the property for its location and the house itself, rather than its celebrity history: “It was more about the house being a beautiful home at the end of a cul-de-sac, and its location in the Country Club of the South,” she said. Abode2 reported her comments on November 11, 2022.

What was the home listed for, and what did it sell for?

Event Reported amount Date and source
Asking price $1.9 million October 2022 listing, reported by Realtor.com property records and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Reported sale price $1,843,250 Sale recorded January 6, 2023, according to Realtor.com property records and Homes.com property history.

The asking price and reported sale price describe different stages of the transaction. Homes.com’s history marks the property as not currently listed for sale and records the January 2023 sale.

What does the house include?

Listing-era accounts describe an all-brick home with five bedrooms and seven total bathrooms. The features below come from the 2022 listing and media coverage; they are descriptions of the property at that time, not an independent inspection of its present condition.

  • A dramatic iron-door entry and sweeping staircase.
  • A paneled library, dining room, and living area with large windows.
  • A kitchen with a breakfast nook, described in listing coverage as a chef’s kitchen.
  • A mahogany bar, media or game room, and exercise area.
  • A terrace, heated saltwater pool, and separate spa.

Homes & Gardens’ December 2022 account and Mansion Global’s November 2022 coverage describe the listing’s interiors and outdoor amenities.

Was the home featured in Being Bobby Brown?

Yes. Reports say Houston and Brown lived at the property and that it was used in the 2005 reality series Being Bobby Brown. Homes & Gardens and Mansion Global both connect the house to the show.

What is known about the home’s earlier sale history?

Reports agree that Houston acquired the property in 2003, but they do not give a consistent account of the later sale after her ownership. Realtor.com records show a 2007 public-record sale and a separate 2009 FMLS sale entry, each at $1.19 million. Mansion Global and Abode2 describe a 2007 sale at that price, while TMZ reports a 2008 sale for $1.349 million. The sources reviewed do not reconcile those dates and amounts, so they should not be combined into one definitive transaction history.
