Boeing’s principal commercial-aircraft final-assembly sites are in Washington state and South Carolina: Everett builds the 747, 767 and 777; Renton builds the 737; and North Charleston assembles the 787 Dreamliner. Since July 2026, Boeing has also built 737 MAX aircraft on a new line in Everett. In China, Boeing’s Zhoushan center completes and delivers some 737s assembled in Renton—it is not described by Boeing as a Chinese final-assembly plant.
Where Boeing commercial aircraft are assembled
Boeing makes commercial aircraft across several U.S. sites rather than in one factory. The main locations and the work Boeing associates with them are:

Where is the Boeing 737 built?
The 737 has traditionally been built in Renton, Washington. In July 2026, Boeing opened a second 737 MAX production line—called the North Line—in Everett. Boeing described it as the first time in more than five decades that the 737 was being built outside Renton, and said the Everett and Renton teams are part of one 737 program. [Boeing, July 10, 2026]
That change means a current answer should include both Washington locations: Renton remains a 737 site, and Everett now produces 737 MAX aircraft too. It does not mean that all 737s are built in China.

Does Boeing build planes in China?
Boeing’s Zhoushan, China facility performs completion and delivery work for some 737s. The distinction is important: Boeing said the first MAX 8 delivered from the center had been assembled in Renton, then completed in China. That account supports describing Zhoushan as a completion-and-delivery center, not as a site where Boeing finally assembles the 737. [Boeing, December 15, 2018]

The locations above cover Boeing’s principal commercial-aircraft assembly and the China completion-and-delivery center. They are not a complete inventory of every Boeing facility, component factory, supplier, engineering office, or other operation worldwide. Boeing also has U.S. facilities supporting fabrication, engineering, delivery, maintenance, defense, and space work; a list of final-assembly sites should not be mistaken for a map of the entire supply chain.
