The next announced Steam seasonal sale is the Winter Sale, scheduled for December 17, 2026, through January 4, 2027, Pacific Time. The Autumn Sale is scheduled to end October 8, 2026, at 10 a.m. Pacific—not at the end of that day. These are platform seasonal-sale dates; individual publishers may run separate promotions on their own schedules.
Steam sale dates for 2026–27
Steamworks’ published calendar gives the dates below for three 2026 seasonal sales. The Spring Sale has passed; the Autumn Sale ends October 8; and the Winter Sale is the next announced seasonal event. Steamworks lists its seasonal sale schedule in Pacific Time.

Steam’s Autumn Sale announcement says the event brings deals throughout the Steam Store and runs through October 8 at 10 a.m. Pacific. Store-wide coverage does not mean every game is discounted. The calendar establishes event dates, not whether a particular title will be on sale or what its price will be.
Seasonal sales versus individual game promotions
A Steam seasonal sale is a broad, scheduled store event. Separately, publishers and developers can announce offers for their own games with different start and end dates. Steam Store News search results, for example, include publisher announcements for offers running June 25–July 9, 2026; those dates describe the promoted offers, not a Steam-wide seasonal sale. So the Winter Sale is the next announced platform-wide seasonal event, but that does not rule out an individual promotion before December. Check the specific game’s store page and offer terms rather than assuming that a publisher’s promotion follows Steam’s seasonal calendar.
How to save money during a Steam sale
Make a wishlist before the event
Add games you are genuinely considering to your Steam wishlist so they are easy to find when a sale begins. Steam’s sale messaging points readers toward wishlisting, but the event notices cited here do not establish a guaranteed notification schedule.

Check each game’s actual price
Review the current price and discount on the individual Steam Store page. A seasonal sale’s broad reach is not a promise that every game participates, and the event calendar cannot predict a specific game’s future discount or lowest-ever price.
Set a spending limit and buy with a plan
Decide what you can afford before browsing, then prioritize titles you expect to play soon. A large discount is only useful if the purchase fits your budget and you will use the game; avoid treating the sale’s end date as a reason to buy something you did not want.

Verify the deadline in Pacific Time
Check the event page for the exact closing time and time zone. The Autumn Sale announcement specifies 10 a.m. Pacific on October 8, so it should not be treated as available through the full local calendar day everywhere. The published Winter Sale dates are also in Pacific Time.
