Wheels Up’s 2025 story was a substantial service and fleet transition—not a completed financial turnaround. The company introduced Signature Membership, began replacing legacy jets with Phenom and Challenger aircraft, and reported stronger fourth-quarter operating and financial results. Its full-year 2025 results were disclosed in February 2026, after the year ended; those results showed progress but did not establish durable profitability.
What changed for Wheels Up customers in 2025?
The biggest customer-facing change was the September launch of Signature Membership. It expanded access to Phenom 300 series and Challenger 300 series aircraft and offered two plan structures: Dynamic Access and Fixed Access. The company also described a Membership Fund, service-area rules, and availability and recovery provisions that depend on applicable terms and conditions.
Those details matter more than the word “guaranteed.” Availability and recovery terms are not universal promises for every route or circumstance. Before paying or committing, ask Wheels Up to confirm the current service area, aircraft category, booking window, fund rules, cancellation terms, and what recovery means for the specific trip.
Dynamic Access and Fixed Access
The two Signature options differ in how customers should evaluate rate certainty and access. Current hourly terms and the precise conditions depend on the offer and the trip; the available company materials do not establish a like-for-like price comparison. Request a current route-specific quote and compare the total expected cost, not just an hourly rate.

- Dynamic Access: Ask how the rate is determined for your route and when it may change.
- Fixed Access: Confirm what rate is fixed, for which aircraft and service area, and what exceptions apply.
- Either option: Review fund requirements, booking and cancellation rules, and the written availability and recovery terms.
Membership is not automatically cheaper than pay-as-you-go charter. A fair comparison depends on the route, timing, aircraft category, trip frequency, upfront commitment, and cancellation exposure. Get comparable quotes for the same itinerary before deciding.
Early signs of adoption
Wheels Up said Signature had more than 100 members as of November 5, 2025. The company reported that nearly 20% of Membership Fund sales in September and October were for Signature, and later reported that Signature represented approximately 44% of Q4 2025 Membership Fund sales. These are company-reported sales and member counts: they indicate uptake and product mix, not independent evidence of customer satisfaction, repeat use, or retention.

How far did the fleet transition get?
Wheels Up’s October 2024 plan was to move from four legacy jet types—Hawker 400XP, Citation CJ3, Citation X, and Excel/XLS—to Phenom 300 series and Challenger 300 series aircraft, while retaining a smaller King Air 350i turboprop fleet. The company acquired 17 Phenom 300 series aircraft in November 2024. The following timeline separates actions during 2025 from the year-end figure disclosed later.

The transition was real but incomplete at year end. In December 2025, Wheels Up said it expected substantial completion by the end of 2026. In its February 19, 2026 results announcement, CEO George Mattson said: “In 2026, we expect to complete our membership program and fleet transition and fully align our products, services, and operations with our strategy.” That was management’s forward-looking expectation as of that date, not a completed outcome.

Did reliability improve?
Wheels Up reported a 99% completion rate and 89% D-60 on-time performance for Q3 2025. For Q4 2025, it reported a 99% completion rate and 91% D-60 on-time performance. D-60 is the company’s reported on-time measure; these figures are period-level company metrics, not a guarantee that an individual flight will operate on time.
Weather, air traffic control, route conditions, and aircraft factors can affect a particular trip. If schedule certainty is important, ask how the company defines completion and on-time performance and what support or recovery applies to your itinerary under the current membership terms.

What did the 2025 results say about the business?
The company’s full-year 2024 results provide context for the improvement it reported after 2025: Wheels Up reported $792.1 million in revenue and a $339.6 million net loss for 2024. In February 2026, it reported Q4 2025 revenue of $184 million, a GAAP net loss of $29 million, and positive Adjusted EBITDA of $33 million.
Adjusted EBITDA is a non-GAAP measure, so it should not be confused with net income or cash generated. A positive Adjusted EBITDA figure in one quarter alongside a GAAP net loss is evidence of a better reported quarter, not proof that the company had reached sustained profitability. The Q4 and full-year 2025 figures were published after 2025 ended.

What does the Delta relationship mean for members?
Wheels Up described opportunities for qualifying members to earn Delta SkyMiles Diamond Medallion status based on qualifying spend, and to use Membership Funds for discounted Delta flights.
