Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick’s comments on Nintendo Switch 2 became more specific over 2025: in February, he said the company expected to support Switch but had no announcement; by August, he said Take-Two had announced four Switch 2 titles. Take-Two later named two Switch 2 releases in a company update: PGA TOUR 2K25 and WWE 2K26. The cited August remarks do not identify all four titles.

How Zelnick’s comments changed in 2025

When What Zelnick said What it established
February 2025 “So, while we have nothing specific to report, we actually would fully expect to support Switch.” An expectation of platform support, not a named Switch 2 game or release commitment.
August 2025 “In general, we aim to be wherever the consumer is, and most of our releases end up on all platforms that have any kind of consumer attention.” A broad platform strategy, alongside his statement that four Switch 2 titles had been announced.

In February, an analyst asked about expanding Take-Two’s relationship with Nintendo after Switch 2 details had been announced. Zelnick described the relationship as long-standing and said platform support had varied by release. His answer was deliberately non-specific. Read the February 2025 earnings-call transcript.

By August, Zelnick said Take-Two had announced four titles for Switch 2. He also said, “But generally speaking, in the fullness of time, our titles find their way to all the viable platforms.” The cited portion of the call gives the count but does not name those four titles. What Take-Two has named for Switch 2

Take-Two’s results release lists these two games among titles released since January 1, 2026, and identifies Nintendo Switch 2 as a platform:

What his platform strategy means—and doesn’t mean

Zelnick’s remarks describe a general aim, not a promise that every Take-Two game will come to Switch 2. He said labels may stage a release to focus first on core platforms, while titles can reach other viable platforms over time. Whether a particular game appears on Switch 2 depends on its own announcement; the broad strategy alone does not confirm a port, date, or edition.

Why Switch 2 is part of the discussion

Nintendo launched Switch 2 on June 5, 2025, describing it as the successor to Nintendo Switch. Nintendo highlighted a larger, more responsive screen, magnetic Joy-Con controllers, and improved processing and graphics performance. It said the system supports exclusive games as well as compatible original Switch games; that does not mean every original Switch title is compatible. Nintendo also noted that other publishers planned a wide variety of games. Nintendo’s Switch 2 launch announcement and platform overview provide its product details.
