Is Thermo Fisher a biotech or pharmaceutical company?
It has business serving biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, including contract development and manufacturing through Patheon and clinical development and analytical services through PPD. That makes it a provider to those industries, but “pharmaceutical company” alone can be misleading: the documented portfolio also includes instruments, research products, diagnostics, laboratory distribution, and support services. It is not best described simply as a drug manufacturer.
