Western Australia’s biggest Powerball win remains the $80 million jackpot shared in December 2021 by 55 women connected with a gym in Beldon. Their winning ticket, however, was sold in Ocean Reef. Lotterywest still described it as WA’s largest Lotto prize in its February 2026 report.
Lotterywest’s published list of places that sold Division One Powerball tickets covers the 10 years before its November 2024 retrospective—not every location ever, and not a complete list through 2026. Here are the major WA wins and the locations Lotterywest has specifically identified.
WA’s biggest Powerball wins
The largest amounts below are the WA share of a prize or jackpot, as described by Lotterywest. A ticket’s sale location is not necessarily where a winner lives or works.
| Prize and draw | How it was won | Ticket sale location or channel |
|---|---|---|
| $80 million, December 2021 | One ticket won the entire jackpot. A syndicate of 55 women connected with a Curves gym in Beldon shared it. | Beaumaris News and Post, Ocean Reef. The group’s Beldon connection and the ticket’s Ocean Reef sale location are different places. |
| More than $63 million, February 2022 | A Kalgoorlie retail syndicate shared the $120 million national Division One prize with a winning ticket in New South Wales. | Kalgoorlie; Lotterywest’s account does not identify a specific shop or suburb. |
| More than $53 million, October 2022 | A Boulder workmates’ syndicate shared one of three winning tickets in the $160 million national jackpot. | Boulder Newsagency, Boulder. |
| $30 million, October 2024 | Fifteen workmates shared the prize. | The cited Lotterywest retrospective confirms the win but does not identify the outlet’s suburb. |
| $30 million, April 2025 | A trio of friends took the jackpot. | The ticket was registered to a Lotterywest membership and described at the time as sold in the metropolitan area; the precise location was withheld. |
| $20 million, September 2025 | One of four Division One tickets shared an $80 million jackpot. The WA entry was a Slikpik 18. | Newsxpress Halls Head. |
| $25 million, October 2025 | The WA half-share of a $50 million jackpot, on a Slikpik 30. | Garden City Lottery Centre, Booragoon. |
| $50 million, November 2025 | The only national Division One winning ticket took the jackpot. | Lotterywest Play Online; no town-level retail location applies. |
| $10 million, January 2026 | A Pilbara grandfather won the prize. | Lotterywest identified the Pilbara region but did not name a town or outlet. |
The $80 million Beldon-connected syndicate is the record, not the Kalgoorlie or Boulder syndicate prizes: those groups shared parts of larger national jackpots. Lotterywest’s January 2024 retrospective describes the Kalgoorlie syndicate’s share as more than $63 million and the Boulder group’s as more than $53 million. Lotterywest’s accounts give differing headcounts for the Boulder group, so the amount and sale location are the more consistent details.

Other later wins were sold online or have only been disclosed at a regional level, so they cannot be added as named suburbs.

What a winning location does—and does not—tell you
A shop or online channel identifies where an entry was bought, not a reliable way to predict where the next winning ticket will come from. Lotterywest says each draw is random and past winning numbers do not affect future outcomes. A location’s appearance on a historical list therefore says nothing about its odds in a future draw.
Syndicates can share the cost and any prize among participants, but they do not change the random nature of the draw. Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said syndicates can be arranged in-store, and players without a group can join one already set up.
