Walmart InHome is an optional paid add-on for Walmart+ members, not a feature included in the base membership. Walmart announced the change on July 6, 2022, and its help page currently lists InHome at $7 per month or $40 per year, plus applicable tax. Availability is limited to eligible U.S. ZIP codes.
What changed with Walmart InHome?
On July 6, 2022, Walmart moved InHome from a standalone membership to an optional add-on within Walmart+. The company called the choice to add the service a “Plus Up” and said customers could choose the membership and delivery service that suited them. Walmart’s announcement describes the change as a membership packaging update, not the launch of a new physical product.

Walmart was still describing InHome as a Walmart+ add-on in a June 6, 2024 company update. That confirms the positioning at that time, but does not mean the service is available in every location.

Is InHome available at your address?
InHome is offered only in limited U.S. ZIP codes, so a Walmart+ membership alone does not establish eligibility. Check the address or ZIP code through Walmart’s current service and membership pages before budgeting for the add-on; availability and delivery options can vary by location.

How to decide whether the add-on is worth paying for
- Compare the full cost: Add the InHome charge to your Walmart+ price, and account for applicable tax. The add-on is a separate expense.
- Check local eligibility: Confirm your delivery address is served before counting on kitchen or garage delivery.
- Consider the service difference: Choose based on whether delivery to a kitchen or garage is useful to you; the service also offers doorstep delivery.
- Factor in the minimum: Each order must meet Walmart’s listed $35 minimum.
- Verify current terms: Use Walmart’s live help and membership pages, rather than historical launch pricing, for your decision.
