Verizon’s documented holiday phone offers are from 2025, not verified 2026 deals. In a release dated November 6, 2025, and updated December 17, 2025, the carrier advertised select iPhones and Android phones with qualifying service, alongside discounts on watches and accessories. The examples below are historical; check Verizon’s current listings and the terms on your account before relying on any offer.
What Verizon offered on phones in its 2025 holiday campaign
Verizon’s November 2025 announcement described a four-line switching offer: four lines of Unlimited Welcome for $25 per line per month with Auto Pay, plus taxes and fees, and one listed phone on Verizon without a trade-in. The named phones were the Apple iPhone 17 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S25+, and Google Pixel 10 Pro XL. This was a specific multi-line offer for customers switching to Verizon, not a free-phone offer available to every customer.
Verizon also listed a Motorola Razr on Verizon with a new line on Unlimited Ultimate. That offer had a different qualification from the four-line switching promotion; the announcement does not establish that it was available under the same plan or eligibility rules.
These were Verizon’s advertised 2025 campaign terms, not confirmation of current availability. Read Verizon’s holiday announcement for the original campaign details.

Why a “free” phone may still cost you
Verizon explains that free or discounted device promotions generally offset a qualifying phone’s cost through monthly bill credits over a promotional term. Its support FAQ gives 36 months as an example; an offer may require a new line, a qualifying plan, or a trade-in. A trade-in promotion can also require the device to meet condition requirements. For some offers to existing customers, Verizon says the traded-in phone must have been active on a Verizon account for 60 consecutive days.
Credits may take one or two billing periods to appear. Verizon says they can stop if you cancel the promoted line, pay off the device early, upgrade early, transfer service in some cases, or move to a plan that is not eligible. Because the exact rules vary by offer, check the promotion’s terms before changing service or paying off a device. Verizon’s mobile device deals and promos FAQs describe the general mechanics and conditions.

How to judge whether a Verizon phone promotion is a good deal
A handset’s advertised value does not tell you the full cost of getting it. Compare the offer against the plan and service you would actually keep, and account for the credits you might forfeit if you leave early.
- Calculate the full service bill. Include the number of lines, Auto Pay requirements, and taxes and fees. The 2025 $25-per-line figure applied to four Unlimited Welcome lines with Auto Pay, plus taxes and fees; it should not be read as a single-line price.
- Confirm who qualifies. Check whether the promotion is for customers switching to Verizon, existing customers, or anyone adding a line. The 2025 iPhone and Android examples were tied to a four-line switch, while the Razr example required a new line on Unlimited Ultimate.
- Check the plan, line, and trade-in conditions. Verify the required plan and whether you need a new line or eligible trade-in. If trading in a phone, review its required condition and any account-activity rule.
- Read the credit schedule and exit terms. Find the promotional term and what happens to remaining credits if you pay off the phone, upgrade, change plans, or cancel service.
- Choose the phone for its use, not just its listed value. Compare the operating system, size, and intended user. An iPhone 17 Pro, Galaxy S25+, and Pixel 10 Pro XL are not interchangeable simply because they appeared in the same campaign.
As of this article’s publication, the cited campaign establishes what Verizon advertised in 2025, but not what it offers for the 2026 holiday season or which current offer is the best in the wider market. For a current purchase decision, check Verizon’s live phone-deals page and the offer terms displayed for your account.
