United Airlines announced plans to add service later in 2026 to five destinations: Caracas, Cartagena, Sapporo, St. Croix and Tuxtla Gutierrez. The announcement identifies the destinations, but it does not confirm that every route has since launched or is currently bookable.
United’s five planned new destinations for 2026
United Airlines Holdings’ second-quarter 2026 results, published July 16, 2026, named these five destinations in its network update:
- Caracas, Venezuela
- Cartagena, Colombia
- Sapporo, Japan
- St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands
- Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mexico
The company described these as destinations it planned to serve “later this year.” The list refers to the five announced destinations, not other route news in the same results release, such as service to destinations United already served. United’s second-quarter 2026 results
What the announcement does—and does not—confirm
The results release establishes that United announced plans for the five destinations. It does not provide route-specific start dates, flight frequency, fares, departure airports, or current seat availability. Nor does the announcement guarantee that a route launched or will continue: the release’s forward-looking-statement section notes that plans may change and announced routes may require government approval.

Before arranging a trip around one of these routes, check United’s current flight schedules and booking results for your travel dates. Confirm the departure airport, whether the itinerary is nonstop or connecting, the operating schedule, and whether seats are available to purchase. Those details cannot be determined from the announcement alone.
