Tré Cool’s net worth was estimated at US$55 million in July 2025, according to a figure attributed to Celebrity Net Worth and reported by InfoMoney on September 6, 2025. It is a third-party estimate, not a verified disclosure of his personal finances; no official financial statement or direct confirmation of the amount was identified.

How much is Tré Cool worth?

The reported estimate is US$55 million. InfoMoney attributed the figure to Celebrity Net Worth and described it as current to July 2025. InfoMoney’s report appeared on September 6, 2025. Read InfoMoney’s report.

That figure should be understood as an estimate published by third parties, not a confirmed account of Cool’s wealth. The source does not explain its calculation or establish his assets, debts, ownership interests, or personal income.

Who is Tré Cool?

Tré Cool is the professional name of Frank Edwin Wright III, the drummer for Green Day. The Green Day Authority lists his birth date as December 9, 1972, and notes his work with the Lookouts and other projects. See the Green Day Authority biography.

Why Green Day’s success does not prove his personal net worth

A band’s commercial success and one member’s net worth are different measures. InfoMoney reported that Green Day had sold more than 85 million albums worldwide, attributing the discography figure to Wikipedia; that band-level sales figure does not establish Cool’s individual income or fortune. The report does not disclose his contractual share, catalog ownership, or the assets and liabilities used to reach the estimate.

Accordingly, it would be misleading to calculate Cool’s personal wealth from the band’s sales or to present the reported estimate as an audited balance sheet. The available sources do not establish a salary, royalty split, tour income, or asset list for him.

How to read online net-worth estimates

Net-worth figures on celebrity websites are often repeated without a direct financial disclosure. When assessing one, check who published it, when the estimate was dated, whether the person confirmed it, and whether the source explains its assumptions about assets, debts, ownership, and income. For Cool, the cited report gives a date and attribution but does not provide a documented calculation or direct confirmation.

Because estimates can be republished or changed without new primary documentation, cite the publisher and date whenever repeating the US$55 million figure. It should not be treated as a current verified amount beyond the estimate’s stated July 2025 date.
