No—the reported $20,000 Coachella curfew fine was charged to festival organizer Goldenvoice, not Travis Scott personally. Scott’s April 12, 2025 set reportedly ended about three minutes after the 1 a.m. curfew; the available reports do not establish that he paid the fine or had personal financial troubles related to it.
Who was fined $20,000?
The City of Indio charged Goldenvoice, Coachella’s organizer, under the festival agreement, according to Digital Music News and Radio 88.8, both reporting on April 28, 2025. Neither report says Scott personally received or paid the fine. The distinction matters: a penalty charged to the event organizer is not evidence of a charge against the performing artist.

What happened at the curfew?
Scott performed on Saturday, April 12, 2025. His set reportedly finished at approximately 1:03 a.m., three minutes after the 1 a.m. curfew. The reports describe the agreement’s penalty as $20,000 for the first five minutes beyond curfew, so the reported three-minute overrun fell within that bracket.
Digital Music News reported that Green Day’s preceding set ran late because of a fireworks issue, delaying Scott’s start. That is a reported explanation for the timing, not a finding by the city assigning or excusing personal responsibility.

Was it the only Coachella curfew fine that year?
Radio 88.8 reported that the City of Indio said the fine was the only curfew fine issued across both Coachella weekends and Stagecoach in 2025. Its report relayed the city’s statement; it did not identify an individual spokesperson.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Does the fine show that Scott has financial woes?
No. The reported charge establishes a penalty to Goldenvoice, not Scott’s income, debt, losses, net worth, or broader financial condition. The reports do not provide a verified personal financial figure for him, so the “least of his financial woes” framing is not supported by this incident.
