The notice required online applications through the TNUSRB website and said applications submitted by any other mode would be rejected. The recruitment portal’s sign-in and account-recovery functions do not establish that the application window or any later stage is active. Check TNUSRB’s current notices for verified updates rather than relying on the old registration dates.

The 53 shortfall vacancies were reported separately from the 1,299 advertised posts; they should not be silently added to or folded into that headline total. The notice says allotment between Taluk and Armed Reserve follows ranking and reservation rules, and candidates cannot change their allotment later.

The notice required a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. It set age limits and category-specific relaxations calculated as of July 1, 2025, so a single age range would not accurately describe eligibility for every applicant. The detailed rules are in the TNUSRB recruitment notice; the 2025 eligibility terms should not be assumed to apply to a later cycle.
For the closed 2025 cycle, the notice listed an examination fee of ₹500 for Open or Departmental Quota candidates, and ₹1,000 when an eligible departmental candidate applied under both quotas. These are historical fee details, not a current payment instruction.
What the selection process involved
The notice described a process beginning with a written examination, followed by certificate verification, endurance and physical-efficiency tests, and viva-voce. Candidates provisionally selected after those stages were also subject to medical examination and character and antecedents verification.
Written examination
The three-hour main written examination carried 85 marks, with a qualifying threshold of 30 marks (35%). The listed subjects included General Knowledge; communication, numerical and logical skills; information handling; specified criminal-law codes; Police Standing Orders; and Police Administration.
Later stages and hall ticket
Applicants were directed to download the hall ticket from the TNUSRB website and print it in colour. Physical tests, verification, viva-voce and post-selection checks were components of the 2025 notice, not confirmation that any of those stages has since taken place.
