What stage did the 2025 Group II/IIA recruitment reach?
The preliminary examination was scheduled for 28 September 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. TNPSC’s press release dated 29 January 2026 says preliminary results were published on 22 December 2025 and lists the main examinations in February 2026:
- Group IIA main examination: 8 February 2026, forenoon.
- Tamil Eligibility Test: 8 February 2026, afternoon.
- Group II main examination: 22 February 2026, forenoon.

- Go to TNPSC’s official notification page and locate the notice for the exact Group II/IIA cycle you intend to enter.
- Open the notification itself and confirm its number, date, service or post, vacancy details, eligibility criteria, fee rules, application deadline, and examination stages.
- Read TNPSC’s Instructions to Applicants and verify that you meet the stated eligibility requirements before applying.
- Use the examination portal as directed in the notice. The 2025 notice required online application through the portal after One Time Registration; candidates who already had a registration could proceed to the examination application.
- Save the application and payment confirmations, and follow the dates and instructions in that cycle’s notice rather than dates copied from an older recruitment.
