The naming can be confusing: Anomali had rebranded from ThreatStream in 2016, while ThreatStream remained the name of a product. The company explained the rebrand in its June 23, 2016 announcement. Contemporaneous TechCrunch coverage likewise distinguished the former company name from the product.

What was not disclosed
TechCrunch reported that Anomali did not discuss its valuation. The company’s release characterized 2017 as a year of record customer growth and product innovation, but gave no customer-growth figure. Neither statement supports assigning a valuation or a numerical growth rate to the company.
