Who was Ipswich Town’s reported £10,000 signing?
It was striker Kieffer Moore, signed from Forest Green Rovers in January 2017. The BBC reported that Ipswich announced the move for an undisclosed fee; Sky Sports later described the purchase as a reported £10,000 deal, while local outlet TWTD said the agreed fee was believed to be £10,000. How much did Ipswich sell him to Barnsley for?
The contemporary BBC and Sky reports said Barnsley signed Moore permanently in January 2018 but described the fee as undisclosed. A later secondary transfer-history compilation lists the fee as £750,000. That figure is not confirmed in the cited contemporary reporting, so it should be treated as a secondary reported amount, not an established payment or Ipswich profit. Where do the “millions” come from?
The same secondary compilation lists later transfer fees of £2 million for Moore’s move to Cardiff City and £5 million for his move to Bournemouth. Those are later career transfer-history figures; they do not show that Ipswich received either amount. Ipswich had already transferred him to Barnsley, and the sources cited here do not establish a sell-on clause or any later share for the club. (Pride of Anglia)

Did Ipswich make millions from the deal?
That is not established by the available figures. The purchase price is reported rather than officially confirmed; the Barnsley fee was described as undisclosed by contemporary BBC and Sky coverage; and the millions are later transfer values listed in a secondary compilation. The sources do not establish Ipswich’s net proceeds, any add-ons, or any sell-on payment. A reported player transfer value is not the same thing as audited income received by a former club.
