Which is “best” depends on the recipient’s age, interest in play or décor, space, and budget. The prices and release dates below are LEGO’s announced U.S. figures for 2026, not a statement of current price or stock.
New LEGO sets to consider in February 2026
These examples highlight the key buying differences: SMART Play’s All-In-One sets include a SMART Brick, while compatible expansions may require one from another set; Botanicals offers bouquets, potted plants, and a modular wall display. Pieces and ages are manufacturer specifications, not independent measures of build time or difficulty.

The Star Wars specifications, prices, and launch timing come from LEGO’s January 2026 announcement (LEGO Star Wars SMART Play announcement). The January Botanicals details and U.S. prices are from LEGO’s November 2025 announcement (LEGO Botanicals announcement); Flower Wall timing, price, and piece count are from its launch announcement (LEGO Flower Wall announcement). Announced regional prices and release dates should not be assumed to reflect another market or later shop listings.
Which LEGO Star Wars SMART Play set should you buy?
Start with the recipient’s age and the scale of the set. Among the three initial All-In-One choices, the X-Wing has the lowest stated age guidance and sits between the TIE Fighter and the larger Throne Room Duel & A-Wing in pieces and announced U.S. price. The TIE Fighter is the least expensive of the three by LEGO’s announced U.S. prices; the Throne Room set is the biggest and most expensive. Those are practical distinctions, not a tested ranking of build quality or play value.

LEGO describes SMART Play as a screen-free interactive platform combining SMART Bricks, SMART Tags, and SMART Minifigures, designed to respond during play and work with the existing LEGO System-in-Play. That description is LEGO’s account of its product, not independent validation. For buyers who want the interactive features without sourcing a brick separately, an All-In-One set is the straightforward starting point.
Do SMART Play compatible sets include a SMART Brick?
Not necessarily. LEGO announced additional compatible sets, including Millennium Falcon, Mos Eisley Cantina, Luke’s Landspeeder, AT-ST Attack on Endor, and Yoda’s Hut and Jedi Training. Compatible sets can be built as LEGO models, but their SMART Play interaction requires a SMART Brick from an All-In-One set. LEGO’s spring 2026 U.S. catalog explicitly labels the Landspeeder and AT-ST sets “SMART BRICK NOT INCLUDED.” Check the specific box or listing before buying an expansion if the recipient does not already have a brick (LEGO spring 2026 U.S. catalog; LEGO SMART Play compatible-set announcement).

What new LEGO Botanicals sets came out in February 2026?
The February-specific Botanicals release in this roundup is Flower Wall (11503). LEGO described it as an 879-piece modular trellis with flowers that can be rearranged, making it a different display format from a bouquet or a single potted plant. LEGO announced Insiders early access for February 1, 2026, followed by general availability February 4, at a U.S. list price of $89.99. These are announced launch details, not confirmation of current stock or price.
The four other Botanicals releases in the cited January 2026 launch announcement were Tulip Bouquet, Peace Lily, Daisies, and Flowering Cactus. Their age guidance spans 9+ to 18+, so the Botanicals label does not mean every set is intended only for adults. LEGO’s announcement states U.S. prices for Tulip Bouquet, Peace Lily, and Daisies; the cited details do not establish a U.S. price for Flowering Cactus.

How to choose based on budget, age, and display space
- For interactive Star Wars play: favor an All-In-One set if the recipient needs the SMART Brick. Compare the stated age guidance and announced U.S. price rather than assuming a compatible expansion is self-contained.
- For a plant display: choose among bouquet, potted-plant, and wall formats based on where it will sit or hang. Flower Wall’s rearrangeable trellis is the distinctive option for a configurable wall display.
- For younger builders: use the printed age guidance as a starting point, not a guarantee of ease. The cited Botanicals releases include sets marked 9+, while the three initial SMART Play sets range from 6+ to 9+.
- For cost comparison: treat the prices in this article as announced U.S. launch prices. They do not establish present-day pricing, retailer discounts, stock, or prices outside the United States.
LEGO’s official descriptions establish launch specifications and intended features, but they do not establish an objectively best set. No hands-on comparative building or play testing is represented here.
