There was no single best internet-and-TV bundle nationwide in March 2024. The right choice depended on your address, whether you wanted traditional cable or streaming TV, the channels you watched, and the bill after promotional pricing ended. Fiber-based options from Google Fiber, Frontier and Verizon were strongest for internet performance; Cox, Spectrum, Optimum and Xfinity were more natural traditional-TV comparisons; and DISH offered satellite TV paired with a separately chosen internet provider.
This is a historical comparison of prices and offers reported on March 25, 2024. Availability, pricing, channel lineups and promotions have changed, so use the linked provider pages to check your address and full checkout total.

The original March 2024 list was alphabetical, not a nationwide ranking. These awards are use-case judgments, not laboratory test results. The FCC has also documented the industry’s shift toward broadband as the primary product, with traditional pay-TV becoming less central and internet-delivered TV services becoming more common. See the FCC report for that broader market context.

“Bundle” can describe several different arrangements:
#1 Best Overall
- Universal Compatibility & Pro-Grade Accessories: Nixsto RG6 coaxial cable works seamlessly with smart TVs, HDTV, CATV, cable boxes, wifi modems, satellite receivers, AM/FM radios, digital antenna, set top box, coax splitter and streaming devices,etc.. - 75 Ohm Copper Core for 4K/HD Signal Integrity: The 75 Ohm copper-plated conductor of the professional RG6 coax cable wire ensures minimal signal loss for 4K/HDTV quality. Meanwhile, gold-plated contacts reduce interference and maintain stable internet/TV signalsand. And, it supports high-speed internet (5Gbps), 4K HDR video, and Dolby Digital audio
- Flexible Length Options: Multiple sizes--1.5ft 3ft 6ft 10ft 15ft 20ft 30ft 40ft 50ft 60ft 75ft 100ft are available to optimize cable management behind TV stands or wall setups; and the round black PVC design blends discreetly with home theater systems. Besides, tangle-resistant construction for neat routing around furniture and electronics
- Outstanding Service: There is any problem when in the use of the coax cable, please seek help from us, we will solve your question in time.
- True provider bundle: One company sells both broadband and TV, often on one bill with shared support.
- Partner bundle: The internet provider promotes or discounts a separate streaming service, such as Frontier with YouTube TV.
- Coordinated purchase: DISH supplies satellite TV while a local or regional ISP supplies internet.
- Streaming add-on: Internet is the main service and live TV is an optional subscription that works through an app.
- Multi-service bundle: Internet and TV are combined with mobile, home phone, security or other services.
Those differences affect installation, equipment, billing, cancellation and outage behavior. A partner offer may still leave you with separate accounts, while a streaming bundle generally cannot provide TV when your internet connection is down.
The nine March 2024 options
1. AT&T + DIRECTV: best for combining AT&T internet with DIRECTV
The March 2024 comparison described AT&T internet paired with DIRECTV, including satellite and internet-delivered TV options. It reported starting pricing of about $120 per month and advertised internet speeds from 300 Mbps to 4.7 Gbps.
This is best viewed as an AT&T broadband-plus-DIRECTV offering rather than an ordinary single-network cable bundle. DIRECTV supplies the television experience, while AT&T supplies qualifying internet service. The exact relationship, price, TV format and eligibility depend on the address and selected offer.

Watch out for: promotional pricing, premium-channel terms, equipment, taxes and the post-promotion internet price. Check the current AT&T bundle page before treating any advertised price as your bill.
2. Cox: best for a relatively inexpensive traditional cable-TV package
The source reported Cox internet-and-TV packages from $55 per month, with advertised internet tiers from 100 Mbps to 2 Gbps and more than 140 channels on the cited base TV tier. It also described equipment and a starter DVR, but those details can depend on the plan and market.
Cox is a natural choice for households that want a familiar channel grid, provider-managed equipment and traditional television rather than an app-only service. Cable TV may remain usable during an internet outage, unlike YouTube TV and other internet-delivered services.
Watch out for: the lowest price may require a particular plan, promotion or contract. Confirm modem, router, receiver and DVR charges, plus broadcast and regional sports fees.

DISH was presented primarily as a satellite-TV provider. The March 2024 source cited TV from $85 per month and more than 190 channels, with internet supplied through partner providers such as Frontier and other local or regional ISPs.
This arrangement can be useful if satellite TV is the priority or if the best broadband provider at your address is not the company selling your TV service. It also gives you more control over the internet technology you choose.

- Save monthly rental fees: Model CM500 replaces your cable modem, saving you up to $168/yr in equipment rental fees.
- Speeds by carrier plans: Xfinity (up to 200Mbps), Cox (up to 150Mbps).
- Works with any wifi router: Connect any WiFi router, separate unit, to this modem's Ethernet port to support all your wireless devices.
- Ethernet connections: 1 Gigabit Ethernet port connects to your computer or separate WiFi router.
- Modem technology: Engineered with 16x4 channel bonding and DOCSIS 3.0.
Watch out for: DISH does not represent one standardized internet package. Your ISP determines download and upload speeds, latency, data allowance, reliability and internet price. Treat DISH as a satellite-TV option coordinated with broadband, not as a conventional one-company internet bundle.
4. Frontier + YouTube TV: best fiber internet with streaming live TV
The March 2024 comparison cited select Frontier Fiber plans from $40 per month and a Frontier Fiber-plus-YouTube TV combination at $113 per month. It reported advertised speeds from 500 Mbps to 5 Gbps, no data caps, more than 100 live TV channels and unlimited cloud DVR through YouTube TV.
This is a strong fit for streaming-first households that want fiber performance without a cable box. YouTube TV can work across compatible smart TVs, phones, tablets, computers and streaming devices, and its TV subscription is separate in technology even when promoted alongside Frontier internet.
Frontier’s current streaming page advertises a $10-per-month YouTube TV discount for 12 months for eligible customers, with the prevailing standard rate applying afterward. The current offer and fiber tiers must be verified at signup through Frontier or its YouTube TV offer page.
Watch out for: YouTube TV needs a working internet connection. Local stations, sports networks, simultaneous streams and add-ons depend on your market and subscription.
5. Google Fiber + YouTube TV: best for very fast fiber and streaming TV
Google Fiber was described as internet paired with the YouTube TV base plan, rather than traditional cable television. The source listed advertised speeds from 1 Gbps to 8 Gbps, no data caps and no long-term contract.
For an eligible household with heavy downloads, multiple simultaneous users or demanding uploads, this is one of the strongest performance-oriented combinations in the list. YouTube TV avoids set-top-box rentals and provides a streaming interface instead of a cable channel box.
Watch out for: Google Fiber’s availability was limited to a relatively small number of U.S. markets in the March 2024 comparison, and that historical city count should not be treated as current. Check Google Fiber by address. Multi-gigabit service also requires compatible routers, Ethernet, Wi-Fi equipment and client devices to realize its potential.
6. Optimum: best regional value when the arithmetic works
The source described Optimum as separate internet and TV plans that could be grouped, citing $40 per month for basic internet and $35 per month for basic TV. It also reported advertised speeds from 300 Mbps to 1 Gbps and no long-term contract.
Rank #3
- ⚠️ CABLE INTERNET ONLY - NOT COMPATIBLE WITH: Fiber (Verizon FiOS, AT&T), DSL, Satellite, or Fixed Wireless. ONLY works with cable providers like Xfinity, Spectrum, Cox. Verify your internet type BEFORE purchase.
- 🚫 NO WiFi INCLUDED - ROUTER REQUIRED: This is a modem ONLY. You MUST buy a separate WiFi router to get wireless internet. Without a router, only ONE device can connect via Ethernet cable. This does NOT replace your current WiFi router.
- 🔌 CABLE INTERNET REQUIRED: Works EXCLUSIVELY with cable internet service (DOCSIS) from providers like Xfinity, Spectrum, or Cox. Will NOT work with fiber (Verizon FiOS, AT&T), DSL, satellite, or fixed wireless internet. Contact your ISP to confirm compatibility BEFORE purchasing.
- 🚀 MULTI-GIG PERFORMANCE: Supports internet plans up to 2.5 Gbps with 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port. Designed for plans 1 Gbps and faster from certified providers: Xfinity (up to 2.33 Gbps), Spectrum (1 Gbps), Cox (2 Gbps). Verify your plan speed and provider compatibility.
- 💡 SETUP REQUIREMENTS: You need: (1) Cable internet service, (2) Separate WiFi router with 2.5 Gbps port for full speeds, (3) ISP activation. This modem cannot create WiFi networks or connect multiple devices without additional equipment.
That pricing is important to interpret correctly: $35 was the cited basic-TV component, not the total price of internet and TV together. The cited components add to $75 before taxes, fees, equipment and any discounts.

Watch out for: Optimum operates in a regional footprint, and the technology available—cable or fiber—can vary by address. Confirm the complete bill and the price after any introductory offer at Optimum.
7. Spectrum: best broad traditional-TV comparison for cable households
The March 2024 source cited Spectrum internet-and-TV bundles from $65 per month, more than 150 channels, and modem and set-top-box rentals included in the displayed price. It also discussed SpectrumOne Stream, which combined internet, mobile and TV in select markets.
Spectrum is a practical comparison for households that want a broad traditional lineup and cable internet from a provider with a substantial regional footprint. The source reported speeds beginning at 30 Mbps, but that was a broad, source-reported range rather than a universal current specification.
Watch out for: channel lineups, speed tiers, fees and promotional pricing vary by ZIP code. Confirm local broadcast stations and regional sports networks rather than relying on the “150-plus channels” headline.

The March 2024 comparison described Verizon Fios as fiber internet paired with either traditional Fios TV or YouTube TV, with bundles beginning around $100 per month and internet starting at 300 Mbps.
Fios is unusually flexible because a household can choose provider-managed TV with a cable-style guide and equipment or use YouTube TV as a streaming service. Fiber also generally offers stronger upload performance and lower latency than older cable or DSL networks, although the specific plan remains important.
Verizon’s current pages show that promotions change: its cited YouTube TV offer provided eligible new subscribers $62.99 per month for six months against a listed $82.99 standard price, while current Fios TV tiers were listed from approximately $75 to $149 per month, subject to location, taxes, setup and equipment. These are current-context offers, not March 2024 prices. Review Fios TV, Fios internet and the YouTube TV terms before ordering.
Watch out for: Fios is geographically limited, and a streaming discount may revert to the standard rate after its promotional period.

9. Xfinity: best for customizable bundles
The source reported Xfinity starting at approximately $70 per month, with advertised internet speeds from 200 Mbps to 1.2 Gbps and customizable TV packages. It described a historical structure in which added services could receive $10 discounts, producing a reported $20 monthly discount for internet plus TV.
This approach can work for households that want to combine internet, TV, mobile, phone or security and choose a package around their needs. It may also be easier to add or remove services within one provider ecosystem.
Watch out for: do not assume the historical discount applies to every plan or market. Verify the exact promotion, equipment requirements, regional fees, contract terms and post-promotion price at Xfinity.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How much internet speed do you need?
Choose based on simultaneous use, not the provider’s maximum advertised tier:
- 100–300 Mbps: suitable for one or two light users, ordinary HD streaming, browsing and video calls.
- 300–500 Mbps: a practical range for several simultaneous streamers, remote workers and connected devices.
- 500 Mbps–1 Gbps: useful for large households, multiple 4K streams, gaming, heavy downloads and extensive smart-home use.
- More than 1 Gbps: mainly valuable for unusually heavy simultaneous use, large uploads and downloads, or households with compatible wired and Wi-Fi equipment.
Advertised download speed is not the same as Wi-Fi speed in every room. Also compare upload speed, latency, reliability, data caps, peak-hour performance and the provider’s router or mesh-Wi-Fi equipment. A multi-gigabit plan may provide little benefit if your devices and home network cannot handle it.
Traditional cable TV versus streaming TV
| Factor | Traditional cable or Fios TV | Streaming TV such as YouTube TV |
|---|---|---|
| Internet outage | May continue working because TV delivery is separate from broadband | Usually unavailable without a working internet connection |
| Equipment | May require receivers, a DVR, installation and equipment rentals | Usually uses an existing smart TV or streaming device |
| Contract | May be plan-dependent | Often no annual contract, but confirm terms |
| Flexibility | Downgrades and cancellations can affect bundle discounts | Usually easier to cancel or change independently |
| Channels | Often includes local and regional channels, subject to fees and location | Local affiliates, sports networks and add-ons vary by ZIP code |
| DVR | Provider DVR may carry a separate fee | Cloud DVR may be included, but storage and simultaneous-stream rules apply |
Neither format is automatically better. Traditional TV is more resilient to a broadband outage and can be simpler for viewers who prefer a set-top box. Streaming TV is often easier to use across devices and cancel, but it turns broadband reliability into a requirement.
Calculate the real cost before you switch
Do not compare “from” prices as though they were complete bills. Ask each provider for:
- Internet plan price and TV plan price.
- Promotional discount, duration and eligibility requirements.
- Standard price after the promotion.
- Router, modem, receiver, set-top-box and DVR charges.
- Broadcast-TV and regional-sports fees.
- Taxes, activation, installation and other one-time charges.
- Data-overage charges, if applicable.
- Contract length and early-termination fee.
- Autopay, paperless-billing, mobile-service or other conditions.
- The new internet-only price if you later cancel TV.
Use two totals: first-year cost and ongoing monthly cost after promotion. A bundle can be cheaper when you would buy both services anyway and the discount is meaningful. It can be worse value when it includes unwanted channels, expensive equipment or a large post-promotion increase.
For example, the March 2024 Optimum figures of $40 internet plus $35 basic TV imply $75 before taxes and fees—not a $35 total bundle. Likewise, Frontier’s cited $113 combination and Cox’s $55 starting price should be treated as historical starting figures, not guaranteed all-in bills.
Which option is best for your household?
- Want the fastest internet? Start with Google Fiber, Verizon Fios and Frontier Fiber where available. Compare upload speed and network equipment, not just download speed.
- Want traditional cable TV? Compare Cox, Spectrum, Optimum, Xfinity and Fios TV. Ask whether local channels and regional sports are included.
- Prefer streaming TV? Compare Frontier + YouTube TV, Google Fiber + YouTube TV and Verizon internet + YouTube TV. AT&T with DIRECTV STREAM may also fit depending on the offer.
- Need sports? Check every required regional sports network, national channel, league package, local affiliate, DVR rule and simultaneous-stream limit by ZIP code.
- Want the lowest headline price? Investigate Cox, Optimum, Spectrum and Xfinity, then add equipment, fees and the post-promotion price.
- Want maximum flexibility? Xfinity’s customizable ecosystem, Verizon’s choice of Fios TV or YouTube TV, and DISH’s separate-ISP model are the most adaptable structures.
- Watch little live TV? Consider internet only plus Netflix, Max, Disney+, free ad-supported services or a separately purchased live-TV service. Paying for a large linear-TV package rarely makes sense if you seldom use it.
Questions to ask before signing up
- Is this price available at my exact address, and how long does it last?
- What will the monthly bill be after the promotion ends?
- Which local stations, sports networks and premium channels are included?
- What equipment is required, and which fees are optional?
- Does the TV service work if the broadband connection fails?
- Can I cancel TV without losing an internet, mobile or price discount?
- Is there an annual contract or early-termination charge?
- Does the package have a data cap or overage charge?
- Are internet and TV billed together, or will I manage separate accounts?
Bottom line
Internet-and-TV bundles were already becoming broadband-first products in March 2024. The best choice was not the provider with the biggest channel count or lowest “from” price. It was the combination that delivered the required internet performance and channels at an acceptable cost after equipment, fees and promotional discounts disappeared.
Choose Google Fiber, Frontier Fiber or Verizon Fios when fiber performance and streaming flexibility are the priority and service is available. Choose Cox, Spectrum, Optimum or Xfinity when traditional provider TV matters. Consider DISH when satellite TV is the priority and you want to choose broadband independently. Choose AT&T plus DIRECTV when that specific ecosystem fits your address and viewing habits. In every case, compare the full first-year bill and the standard ongoing price before committing.
