Stoke City Holdings’ accounts for the year ended 31 May 2024 say the company and its subsidiaries were demerged from bet365 Group Limited to John Coates on 8 July 2024. The accounts identify bet365 Group Limited as the ultimate parent at that financial year end. BBC Sport reported that Stoke City made £60.8 million profit before tax for the year ending 31 May 2025 and that £90.5 million of loans were waived as part of the 2024 change.
