Valve’s Steam Winter Sale 2024 began December 19, 2024, and ended January 2, 2025, at 10 a.m. PST. The sale has expired; its discounts are no longer current offers. Valve described thousands of games as being on sale, but did not give an exact count.
When did the Steam Winter Sale 2024 run?
Valve announced the sale as live on December 19, 2024. It was scheduled to close January 2, 2025, at 10 a.m. PST. Those dates are historical, not a notice of an active sale. Valve’s announcement used the phrase “From now until NEXT YEAR” to describe the event crossing from 2024 into 2025.
How many games were discounted?
Valve said that “thousands of games of all kinds” were on sale. The announcement did not specify a precise number of discounted titles, so “thousands” is the only supported count. It also did not list individual games, regional prices, or discount amounts; those details cannot be inferred from the broad announcement.
