The recruitment is not open now, so there is no current application link for this cycle. The original notification, dated December 27, 2024, directed candidates to the RRC/SC page on the South Central Railway website. What happened to the 4,232-post application?
South Central Railway (SCR) announced 4,232 Act Apprentice engagements for training year 2024–25 in a notification dated December 27, 2024. Applications closed at 23:59 on January 27, 2025. The headline wording “ends today” applied to a story published on that deadline, not to the current date.
The notice described apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1962. An apprenticeship is not a promise of permanent employment with Indian Railways.

The 2024–25 notice directed candidates to the RRC/SC webpage of the South Central Railway website. Because that application period has ended, use the official South Central Railway website to find any newer notice and its application instructions. The current status of an old form should not be inferred from a saved or third-party link.
Who was the 2024–25 notice for?
The notice specified applicants residing in districts under South Central Railway jurisdiction and required them to meet the conditions in the full notification. That does not establish nationwide eligibility. The headline alone is not enough to confirm an individual’s age, education, trade, fee, selection, or document requirements; those details should be checked against the full notice and any corrigenda.

SCR subsequently issued a distinct 2025–26 apprentice notification, dated March 11, 2026, for 2,801 engagements. Its application window ran from March 12, 2026 at 17:00 to April 11, 2026 at 23:59, and is also closed. That later recruitment did not reopen or replace the 4,232-post 2024–25 cycle.
