If you mean Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) NTPC recruitment under CEN 01/2019, its CBT-1 is over: the exam was held in seven phases from 28 December 2020 to 31 July 2021. The earlier notice covered only the first phase, not the full exam window. “RRB recruitment 2019” can also refer to other notices, including CEN 03/2019 for Ministerial and Isolated Categories, so check the notice number for the post you applied for.
Which RRB recruitment 2019 notice is this?
This update is about graduate and undergraduate NTPC posts under CEN 01/2019. RRB Kolkata also has a separate archive for CEN 03/2019, which covers Ministerial and Isolated Categories. If you applied for a different post category, use the archive for that notice rather than assuming the NTPC dates apply.

When was the RRB NTPC 2019 exam?
CBT-1 for NTPC CEN 01/2019 took place across seven phases between 28 December 2020 and 31 July 2021, according to the RRBs’ notice dated 5 December 2021. That completed window is the relevant overall schedule; it should not be confused with the dates initially announced for the first phase.
The 17 December 2020 notice scheduled the first phase for approximately 23 lakh candidates from 28 December 2020 to 13 January 2021. It said eligible candidates not covered in that phase would be scheduled later. The figure refers to candidates in the first phase, not total applicants or everyone in the recruitment cycle. How were exam city and date information provided?
For the 2020–21 CBT-1 process, the RRB schedule notice said candidates could access a city/date intimation link 10 days before the relevant phase or exam date. This was a candidate-specific update, not a single city announcement covering everyone. The exam cycle has since concluded, so this timing is historical guidance rather than an upcoming release date.
Where can I find my exam shift timing?
There was no single shift time for all candidates established by the phase schedule. Candidates were directed to their own e-call letter for personal reporting details and exam instructions. The notice said e-call-letter downloads would begin four days before the individual exam date shown in the city/date intimation link. Do not infer a personal shift or reporting time from the phase dates alone.

- Confirm the notice number. Check whether your application relates to NTPC CEN 01/2019 or another recruitment notice.
- Open the relevant official RRB archive. Use the RRB website associated with your region and locate the notice for your CEN.
- Use candidate-specific documents for personal details. For the historical NTPC CBT-1 process, the city/date intimation and e-call letter supplied the relevant individual information.
The 17 December 2020 schedule advised candidates to refer only to official RRB websites for updates and not rely on unauthenticated sources. The official schedule notice contains the original timing instructions.
