What the $0.00005 target means now
The question is retrospective: 2024 is over. CoinGecko reports SHIB’s all-time high as $0.00008616, which is higher than the $0.00005 target. That establishes that SHIB traded above the target at some point, but the cited page does not give the first crossing date. It therefore does not show whether that crossing happened specifically in 2024.
CoinGecko describes SHIB as an Ethereum-based cryptocurrency. Its reported peak is a historical market figure, not a forecast of where SHIB will trade next.
Price, market cap, and the supply assumption
A small nominal token price does not by itself indicate whether a valuation is modest. Market capitalization is price multiplied by circulating supply, so the supply assumption matters when assessing a target.

CoinGecko distinguishes circulating, total, and maximum supply. Its methodology says total supply subtracts tokens permanently removed through burns from on-chain supply. Since price and supply figures move, refresh live market data before relying on the current snapshot for a financial decision.
Do SHIB burns make the target more likely?
Burning tokens removes them from supply measures, but a lower supply does not mechanically guarantee a higher price. Price also depends on demand and market conditions. The project’s burn tracker documents a burn process; it does not establish that a particular amount burned will produce a particular price outcome. A burn headline is therefore not, by itself, evidence that SHIB is on track to reach a target.

- Check the date and source of the price. A current price, an all-time high, and a target are different kinds of figures; do not treat a historical peak as a present price.
- Check which supply measure is being used. Circulating supply is the relevant input for the market-cap calculation shown here; burn activity alone does not establish a price outcome.
- Do not treat a price prediction as a guarantee. The reported historical high shows the threshold was exceeded at some point, not that it will be reached again or when.
