At the circulating supply reported on May 4, 2026, Shiba Inu (SHIB) at $1 would imply a market capitalization of about $589.24 trillion. That is a dated calculation, not a forecast or a current quote. The two altcoins implied by the headline cannot be verified from the cited material, so it would be misleading to name them as likely $1 coins.
What would SHIB at $1 imply?
Market capitalization is calculated by multiplying a token’s price by its circulating supply. Coin Bureau reported about 589.24 trillion SHIB in circulation on May 4, 2026. Multiplying that dated supply estimate by $1 gives an implied market capitalization of roughly $589.24 trillion. Coin Bureau’s analysis provides the supply figure used for this calculation.
This is a way to test the scale of the claim, not proof that a particular price is impossible under every imaginable scenario. If circulating supply changed materially, the arithmetic would change too. But a price target should be assessed against the supply that exists—not just the number attached to one token.
Why a low unit price does not make a $1 target plausible
A token can have a tiny price because it has a very large supply. The unit price alone says little about the total value investors would be assigning to the network. Market capitalization makes that scale visible: at a fixed supply, multiplying the price target multiplies the implied valuation by the same factor.

Token burns can reduce supply, but a burn headline does not establish that enough tokens have been removed to support a $1 price. Nor does a smaller supply guarantee a higher price: demand and wider market conditions also affect price. Any serious $1 claim therefore needs both a clearly dated supply assumption and a credible explanation of demand.
What the CFTC filing does—and does not—say
A 2024 filing by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission describes SHIB as volatile and documents a SHIB futures contract. That filing concerns a futures product and its benchmark methodology; it is not an endorsement, investment recommendation, or forecast of SHIB’s future spot price. The existence of a futures contract does not validate a $1 target. Read the CFTC filing.

The same filing describes SHIB’s original or limited supply as 1 quadrillion tokens. That figure is a different supply measure from circulating supply and should not be substituted for Coin Bureau’s May 4, 2026 circulating-supply estimate in the $1 calculation.

The cited sources do not establish the identity of the two altcoins in the headline or substantiate a reliable prediction that both will reach $1. A Coinpedia guest post dated February 7, 2024 mentions Ripple (XRP) and Meme Moguls (MGLS), but it does not verify that these are the intended pair. Its promotional discussion says MGLS could rise and acknowledges that whether it could reach $1 is difficult to determine. That is not a dependable basis for presenting either token as a $1 prediction. Read the Coinpedia guest post.

How to assess a $1 crypto price prediction
- Check the supply figure. Look for circulating supply, its source, and the date it was measured.
- Do the valuation arithmetic. Multiply the proposed price by that circulating supply to find the implied market capitalization.
- Inspect supply-reduction claims. Distinguish completed burns from proposed ones, and compare the amount burned with circulating supply.
- Identify the forecaster. A usable prediction should identify who made it, the assumptions behind it, and the time horizon. Promotional language is not the same as an accountable forecast.
- Separate market products from price predictions. A futures contract or benchmark describes a market instrument or reference price; it does not show where the token’s future spot price will go.
