What changed when the sale was completed?
The EFL said Sheffield Wednesday was no longer in administration once the agreement with Arise was in place. On 5 May, joint administrators BTG confirmed successful completion of the sale. BTG said the club would start the upcoming season on zero points and that wage and transfer parameters had been agreed. BTG completion announcement

What are the EFL conditions after the takeover?
The EFL decided not to impose the anticipated 15-point deduction following the club’s exit from administration. It also imposed a budget restriction for the next two seasons and said player registrations must comply with a business plan agreed by the league and the new ownership. These are distinct from BTG’s later account of agreed wage and transfer parameters: the league described the ongoing restriction and registration requirement, while the administrators confirmed completion and the agreed parameters. Neither announcement, by itself, establishes how the club will perform or what its future spending will be.

What has the new ownership said about the club’s future?
