Where was the winning ticket sold?
The report connected the winning entries to Bishop Street Newsagency in Morley. Manager Peter Nguyen said two syndicates had the same numbers. One was a five-person group that paid roughly $70 each for a System 11 entry. Nguyen described the matching syndicates as “just a fluke that we managed to get two of them,” as quoted by PerthNow.
One member of the five-person group briefly could not find her ticket. According to the report, it had been left on the shop floor and was found by a customer.

How does a System 11 entry work?
Lotterywest describes a System entry as a way to combine selected numbers into all possible six-number combinations. Because it contains multiple combinations, a System entry can produce multiple prizes. It does not change the draw or guarantee a win. The roughly $70 contribution reported for each member was specific to this five-person syndicate; it is not a general System 11 price. Lotterywest’s Saturday Lotto FAQ

The report does not name the West Australian who held the winning entry or establish whether they eventually claimed the prize. Lotterywest’s current general instructions say Division One prizes must be claimed at Lotterywest Head Office, are subject to a 14-day validation period, and have a 12-month claim period from the draw date. Those rules do not confirm what happened to the individual prize in the 2024 report. Lotterywest prize-claim information
