Yes—SAP says its SAP Pay service supports USDC payments within SAP Cloud ERP, but an organization needs an eligible Circle Mint account to use USDC through the integration. Circle Mint is for institutions, not individuals, and access depends on eligibility and region. SAP Pay is enterprise payment software, not a consumer app for sending or converting USDC.
What SAP Pay’s USDC support means
SAP presents SAP Pay, powered by Tereina, as a payments solution embedded in SAP Cloud ERP. Its product page lists USDC and other stablecoins alongside conventional payment methods: ACH, EFT, wire transfers, and checks. SAP also says payments can be reconciled automatically to a purchase order or invoice. Those are SAP’s product claims; they do not establish independent performance results.

Circle describes the integration as a way for businesses to use USDC in treasury and cash-management operations, cross-border supplier payments, intercompany transfers, and accounts-payable and accounts-receivable settlement, alongside existing banking rails. Circle says the integration connects to an organization’s SAP stack through an API. Specific implementation and control details should be confirmed with SAP and Circle.

Circle says an organization must have an eligible Circle Mint account to use USDC in SAP Pay. Circle Mint is available to institutions, not individuals, and access is subject to eligibility and regional availability. The fact that a company uses SAP Cloud ERP does not, by itself, establish that it qualifies for Circle Mint or that the service is available in its location.

If you are an individual looking to get USDC or convert it back to fiat currency, this institutional integration is not the route Circle describes for you. Circle identifies exchanges, neobanks, and digital wallets as possible access routes for individuals. It says startups and small businesses may access USDC through on- and off-ramp providers. These options are distinct from Circle Mint and the SAP Pay workflow; availability and terms depend on the provider and location.
How the enterprise payment workflow fits together
- Confirm access: The organization checks whether it can obtain an eligible Circle Mint account in its region. Circle Mint’s institutional eligibility is a prerequisite for the USDC integration.
- Connect the systems: Circle says Circle Mint can connect to an existing SAP stack by API. The vendors should confirm the specific setup and implementation requirements.
- Choose the payment rail: SAP describes SAP Pay as supporting USDC and other stablecoins as well as ACH, EFT, wires, and checks. USDC is one option, not a replacement for every bank payment.
- Manage and reconcile payments: Circle describes use cases spanning treasury, supplier payments, intercompany transfers, and receivables and payables settlement. SAP says SAP Pay can automatically reconcile payments to a purchase order or invoice.
What SAP’s corridor claim does—and does not—tell you
SAP’s 2026 product page states that SAP Pay covers 89 global corridors. This is SAP’s vendor-stated coverage figure, not an independently audited measure. It does not establish that every corridor supports USDC, that a particular counterparty can receive USDC, or that Circle Mint is available to every organization in every country. Businesses should check their specific sending and receiving locations, counterparties, and eligibility with the vendors.

What Circle says about USDC reserves
Circle describes USDC as redeemable one-to-one for U.S. dollars and backed by dollar-denominated reserve assets held for USDC holders. On its USDC page, Circle reported $74.1 billion in USDC circulation and $74.3 billion in U.S. dollar reserves as of October 5, 2026. These are Circle-reported figures for that date, not timeless values or an independent assessment of the SAP Pay integration.
Details to confirm before planning around the integration
The official product pages do not establish a general-availability date, a complete country-by-country eligibility list, or a full pricing schedule for the SAP Pay and Circle Mint integration. A business considering the workflow should verify current regional access, account eligibility, implementation requirements, supported corridors for its specific payments, and pricing directly with SAP and Circle.
