Samsung’s Galaxy S25 launch prices were close to several pre-launch reports, but there was no single Europe-wide price. At launch in January and February 2025, Samsung listed the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra in Germany from €899, €1,149 and €1,449, respectively. In Spain, the starting prices were €909, €1,159 and €1,459. These are historical, country-specific launch prices—not verified current prices.
What Samsung actually charged at launch
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra on January 22, 2025, and opened pre-orders that day. General availability began February 7. The prices below are Samsung’s country-specific launch figures; they should not be treated as a uniform European recommended retail price.

Germany: starting prices
Samsung’s German launch material listed recommended retail prices starting at €899 for the Galaxy S25, €1,149 for the S25+ and €1,449 for the S25 Ultra. Samsung’s Spanish launch page listed the following consumer prices for configurations available there:

Samsung said the phones were available to pre-order and would launch in Spain on February 7. The full configuration and price list appears in Samsung’s Spanish launch announcement.
Why “European price” is misleading
The German and Spanish figures show why a single euro price is not a reliable guide to buying across Europe. Samsung publishes country-specific prices, and the two launch lists differ even for models with comparable starting configurations. Local tax-inclusive pricing, Samsung’s country-level pricing, available storage tiers, retailer offers and carrier deals can all affect what a buyer pays. The cited prices are presented by Samsung’s local sites as consumer-facing prices; do not add VAT to them again.

These figures do not establish launch prices for France, Italy, the Netherlands or other markets. The United Kingdom and Switzerland also price in different currencies. Check the Samsung store for the country where you will buy, then compare the same model and storage with retailer and carrier offers.

What the pre-launch leaks got right—and wrong
A Spanish report published before the announcement listed approximate prices of €909, €969 and €1,079 for the S25; €1,235.90 and €1,359.90 for the S25+; and €1,557.90, €1,681.90 and €1,930.89 for the Ultra. Those were leaked or retailer-derived figures, not Samsung-confirmed prices. The base S25 figures matched Samsung’s eventual Spanish list, while the reported S25+ and Ultra amounts were higher than the final official Spanish prices. See the pre-launch Spanish report.

A separate retailer report suggested European pricing would remain close to the Galaxy S24 family’s. That was useful context, not confirmation of final prices or exact year-on-year changes. The retailer-listing report should not be confused with Samsung’s later country-specific announcements.
Storage choices and what the starting price leaves out
In Spain, the S25 price ladder ran from 128GB to 512GB; the S25+ started at 256GB and was listed up to 512GB; and the Ultra ranged from 256GB to 1TB. Samsung’s German launch material also said the 1TB Ultra configuration was available through its online shop and app. Storage availability can vary by market and retailer, so a configuration listed in one country should not be assumed to be sold everywhere.

“From” refers to the least expensive listed configuration, not the cost of every version. In Spain, choosing the 1TB Ultra rather than the 256GB model meant a €360 higher launch price. The value of extra storage depends on how much space you need; a temporary upgrade offer can change the storage received for the money without changing the underlying list price.
Launch offers changed the effective cost
Samsung’s German pre-order promotion ran through February 6, 2025, the day before general availability. It included a storage upgrade advertised as worth up to €240, an additional 10% Samsung Members discount, and €15 off Samsung Care+. Samsung also advertised up to €850 in trade-in value under specified device and condition terms. These were limited launch offers, not permanent reductions or guaranteed savings for every buyer. Samsung’s Spanish launch page also promoted double storage and savings of up to €240. Its terms and eligible configurations should be read locally rather than assumed to match Germany’s offer. The German launch material additionally included six months of Gemini Advanced and 2TB of cloud storage; check renewal and cancellation terms before counting a time-limited service bundle as a lasting saving. How to compare the S25 models as a buyer
Galaxy S25
The S25 was the least expensive entry to the range and the more compact choice. In Spain, its lower-cost configuration had 128GB of storage. It may suit buyers who want a flagship phone without paying for the Ultra’s camera hardware or S Pen-oriented features.
Galaxy S25+
The S25+ occupied the middle of the lineup, with a larger-screen positioning and a 256GB starting configuration in Spain. Compare its price with the base S25 alongside the display, battery, charging and storage you actually want—not just the headline difference.

Galaxy S25 Ultra
The Ultra was the premium option, with the largest storage ceiling in Spain at 1TB and Samsung’s Ultra camera and S Pen-oriented positioning. Its highest listed Spanish launch configuration cost €1,819, making it especially important to compare storage-upgrade promotions and other eligible offers against the price you would otherwise pay.

- Use the Samsung site for your country; German or Spanish pricing is not proof of another market’s price.
- Compare the same model and storage tier. A starting price is not a like-for-like comparison with a higher-capacity phone.
- Separate list price from a temporary storage upgrade, trade-in credit, membership discount or service bundle.
- For trade-in, check the value for your specific device and condition rather than treating the maximum advertised amount as universal.
- For a carrier plan, compare the total cost over the contract, including the tariff and any upfront payment.
