In reports dated January 29, 2025, the S24’s 8GB/128GB model was listed at ₹64,999, down from ₹74,999; the 8GB/256GB model at ₹70,999, down from ₹79,999; and the 8GB/512GB model at ₹82,999, down from ₹89,999. These are historical reported prices—not current October 2026 offers.
Galaxy S24’s reported India price cuts
The following revised prices and earlier launch prices were reported by Financial Express on January 29, 2025. The decrease is the difference between those two reported list prices for the same configuration.
| Galaxy S24 configuration | Earlier India launch price | Revised price reported Jan. 29, 2025 | List-price decrease |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8GB/128GB | ₹74,999 | ₹64,999 | ₹10,000 |
| 8GB/256GB | ₹79,999 | ₹70,999 | ₹9,000 |
| 8GB/512GB | ₹89,999 | ₹82,999 | ₹7,000 |
Gadgets 360, also reporting on January 29, 2025, said the 8GB/128GB price was reflected on Samsung’s official website. It separately reported an HDFC card discount that could lower the effective price. A card offer is not the same as the phone’s list price, and eligibility and terms can affect what a buyer pays.
When the price reduction followed the S25 launch
Samsung India announced the Galaxy S25 series on January 23, 2025, and said preorders began that day through leading online and offline retailers. The S24 price changes were reported six days later. The reports establish the timing, but do not show that the S25 launch was the sole cause of the S24 reductions.

How to compare the S24 and S25 prices
The headline figures are not an even like-for-like comparison. The cited S24 prices are for 8GB RAM configurations, while Samsung’s S25 launch prices are for 12GB RAM configurations. Storage also differs between models. A price comparison should identify the complete configuration rather than comparing model names alone.
- Separate price types: distinguish the listed phone price from card discounts, cashback, exchange value, and retailer sale pricing.
- Name the seller and date: the reports included distinct marketplace and offer snapshots, not a guaranteed price available everywhere.
- Check the exact variant: confirm RAM and storage on the selected product page before comparing prices or placing an order.
- Verify availability at checkout: current stock and pricing were not reliably established for October 2026.
For additional context, Samsung said the S25 series runs One UI 7 and receives seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. That statement applies to the S25 series; it does not establish the S24’s support terms.

Can you still buy the Galaxy S24 in India?
Samsung India’s product and purchase pages are available, but the page information reviewed did not establish a dependable current price or stock status. Historical reports of Amazon listings likewise do not confirm that a listing remains active or that the same seller, configuration, or price is available today. Check the retailer’s current product page and final checkout price before buying.
