Casualty figures from Russia’s October 10, 2026 attack on Zaporizhzhia rose as rescue crews searched rubble. Reuters initially reported seven people killed and 10 wounded. Later that day, Ukrainska Pravda reported 11 killed, including three children, while Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry said at least 15 civilians, including three children, had died. These are separate attributed updates, not a reconciled final toll.

What is confirmed about the children and rescue effort?
Both the Ukrainska Pravda report and the Foreign Ministry statement included three children in their higher reported death tolls. The reports also described ongoing rescue searches, which meant casualty and missing-person information remained subject to change. The early Reuters account did not specify how many of the seven reported deaths were children.

Is this the same attack reported earlier in October?
No. An Associated Press report published October 7 described a separate large-scale Russian attack across Kyiv and other Ukrainian regions. Its reported casualties belong to that earlier event, not the October 10 attack on Zaporizhzhia. Associated Press report on the October 7 attack
