The original deadline to apply for Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) recruitment 2024 was September 10, 2024. RPSC later reopened applications from July 30 to August 13, 2025, so neither window is open now. The recruitment was for ASO posts in Rajasthan’s Economic and Statistics Department under Advertisement No. 09/2024-25.

What was the last date to apply for RPSC ASO 2024?

The original application window closed on September 10, 2024. “Today” in the original headline referred to that publication date; it is not a current deadline. Scroll reported the date in its September 10, 2024 article: RPSC recruitment 2024: Last date to apply for ASO posts today, details here.

Did RPSC reopen applications?

Yes. An RPSC press note dated July 28, 2025 announced a later application window from July 30 through August 13, 2025. RPSC said the number of non-scheduled-area posts had increased by more than 50 percent and directed candidates to corrigendum 06/2025-26 for the revised category-wise allocation and related details. That reopening window has also closed. The relevant notices are available through RPSC’s official website.

How many vacancies were advertised?

The initial advertisement listed 43 ASO posts in the Economic and Statistics Department: 31 for the non-scheduled area and 12 for the scheduled area, as later described in RPSC’s 2025 press note. The 2025 reopening notice reported an increase of more than 50 percent in non-scheduled-area posts and pointed to a corrigendum for the revised allocation. The initial split should not be treated as the revised vacancy allocation.

What qualification and age limit were reported?

Scroll’s summary of the 2024 recruitment reported that applicants needed either a second-class master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Commerce, or a master’s degree in one of those subjects plus a one-year diploma in Statistics from a recognized Indian university. It reported an age range of 21–40 years as of January 1, 2025, with upper-age relaxation for reserved-category candidates. These are secondary-source summaries; candidates should check the original advertisement and applicable rules for the exact wording, qualifications, and relaxations.

What was the application fee?

For the 2024 application, Scroll reported a fee of ₹600 for General/Unreserved candidates and ₹400 for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other reserved-category candidates. These historical figures apply to the reported 2024 application, not automatically to later RPSC recruitments. Consult the original notification for the controlling fee terms.

How to check the recruitment’s current status

The 2025 application reopening is historical, and the cited notices do not establish the recruitment’s present stage. For any examination, result, or other update, check the latest official notices rather than relying on an old application article. The Rajasthan Recruitment Portal describes itself as a unified state portal coordinating recruitment information from advertisement and application through examination and result; RPSC notices remain important for this specific recruitment’s updates.
