Rogers’ surfaced offer waives the monthly charge for an eligible smartwatch or tablet plan for 24 months through a $15 monthly bill credit. It does not automatically make the watch or tablet free: you still pay for the financed device and your primary mobile plan. After the credit ends, the full companion-plan fee applies. Eligibility and prices can change, so check the offer and total costs in your order summary before agreeing.
What the offer covers
Terms surfaced by Imagine Wireless, a Rogers authorized dealer, describe a $15 monthly credit for 24 months when you finance a tablet or smartwatch and add its related plan to an eligible Rogers Popular or Ultimate mobile plan. The terms list new-line activations, price-plan changes and hardware upgrades on an eligible Rogers Preferred Program plan as qualifying circumstances. Because these are dealer-hosted terms, confirm that the same offer appears on your own account and in your order summary.
The credit applies to the companion plan, not the device payment. Your costs can include:
- Your primary phone plan.
- Payments for the financed watch or tablet.
- The companion device plan, temporarily offset by the monthly credit.
The surfaced terms list the full tablet and watch plan fee as $15 per month after the credit period, subject to applicable rate increases. Treat that as the fee shown in those terms—not a guarantee of your future bill. Check the recurring charge and what happens when the credit expires.

Why older reports describe different eligibility
Rogers’ offer has appeared in several versions. MobileSyrup reported in April 2025 that an earlier version required financing through Rogers and an eligible non-discounted consumer Infinite Extra plan or above. In June 2025, it described another iteration as apparently limited to Ultimate, with then-listed tablet and watch plan fees of $20 and $15 per month, respectively. Those eligibility descriptions and prices are historical; they are not current guidance.
The more recently surfaced dealer terms use Popular or Ultimate plan labels and different eligibility wording. The Rogers Back to School page is not evidence that an earlier device promotion remains available: it says that promotion has ended.

Check the full cost before financing
Do not judge the offer by the temporary credit alone. Compare the total cost over the period you expect to keep the device, including the primary plan, device financing and companion-plan charges. Also account for the companion plan’s full monthly fee after the credit expires. The available information does not establish enough current prices to calculate a reliable example total for every customer.

- The device’s payment amount and financing term.
- The eligible primary plan and any required plan change.
- The companion plan’s monthly charge and the credit’s amount and duration.
- The companion plan’s price after the credit ends, including whether fees may change.
- Any device return or ownership conditions in your specific agreement.
- What you would owe if you cancel service, transfer it or change to a non-eligible plan.
What can happen if you cancel or change plans
Rogers’ sample device financing agreement, marked April 2025, says that cancelling or transferring the mobile service associated with a financed device—or downgrading to a non-eligible plan—makes the outstanding financing balance due, subject to reductions required by the Wireless Code. It also says late-payment charges may apply to overdue account amounts. The sample is not a substitute for your signed agreement: read the terms that apply to your device and account before making a change.
For your decision, separate the promotional credit from the financing obligation. A credit that lowers the companion-plan bill does not, on its own, erase what you owe on the device if the financing agreement is triggered.
