For most readers who do not already have Roblox Premium, this is no longer a choice: Roblox stopped selling new Premium subscriptions on April 30, 2026. Existing subscribers may keep their memberships, but users who cancel cannot resubscribe. New or lapsed users can buy Robux once or consider Roblox Plus, whose standard plan has no monthly Robux stipend. The better deal depends on eligibility, how many Robux you need, and whether you will use Plus’s other benefits.
Can you still subscribe to Roblox Premium?
No. Roblox says it stopped selling new Premium subscriptions on April 30, 2026. Existing memberships may continue, but someone who cancels cannot sign up again. Premium’s monthly Robux stipend remains for existing subscribers; its 10% bonus on additional Robux purchases ended May 30, 2026. Check Roblox’s Premium membership terms for the official details.
That makes eligibility the first decision point. If you already have Premium, compare the stipend and benefits you retain with the cost of any extra Robux you buy. If you are new or lapsed, compare a one-time Robux purchase with Roblox Plus and its optional monthly Robux bundles instead.
How much do Robux cost compared with Plus bundles?
The following prices are listed on Roblox’s US purchase page. They are a snapshot, not a global or permanent price list; your account’s checkout may show different prices or applicable taxes. Roblox lists both one-time Robux packages and recurring Plus bundle options on its purchase page.

| Option | Robux | Listed US price | Billing |
|---|---|---|---|
| One-time purchase | 500 | $4.99 | One-time |
| One-time purchase | 1,000 | $9.99 | One-time |
| One-time purchase | 2,000 | $19.99 | One-time |
| Roblox Plus standard plan | No monthly Robux stipend | $4.99/month | Recurring subscription |
| Plus 500 | 500 per month | $8.99/month | Recurring subscription |
| Plus 1000 | 1,000 per month | $12.99/month | Recurring subscription |
| Plus 2000 | 2,000 per month | $21.99/month | Recurring subscription |
On the listed US prices, 1,000 Robux costs $9.99 as a one-time package. The Plus 1000 bundle costs $12.99 per month for 1,000 Robux, along with the Plus subscription benefits. It is not cheaper on Robux alone. The same pattern applies to the listed 500- and 2,000-Robux options: the recurring bundle costs more than the comparable one-time package. Whether the added price is worthwhile depends on benefits you actually expect to use.
Is Roblox Premium worth it if you already have it?
For an existing subscriber, Premium’s value is specific to their retained plan: its monthly stipend and remaining membership benefits versus the recurring charge. Roblox ended the 10% bonus on additional Robux purchases on May 30, 2026, so do not include that former bonus in a current comparison.

When does Roblox Plus make sense?
Roblox Plus has benefits beyond Robux, including discounts on eligible in-game and avatar purchases and free private-server access. Roblox lists exclusions, and the discounts only matter if you would make eligible purchases anyway. The standard Plus plan costs $4.99 per month on the US purchase page but includes no monthly Robux stipend. See Roblox’s Plus benefits and terms.

- Prefer a one-time package if you mainly need Robux now and do not want another monthly subscription.
Roblox says gift card credits are an accepted way to purchase Plus. Check the payment options shown in your account before relying on a particular funding method.
How to compare the real cost before buying
- Confirm eligibility. If you are not an active Premium member, do not treat Premium as an available new option.
- Choose the Robux amount you actually need. Compare the same quantity, such as 1,000 Robux, rather than comparing a subscription’s headline value with a package of a different size.
- Compare checkout totals and billing. A package is a one-time purchase; Plus is billed monthly. Review taxes, the displayed price, renewal date, and cancellation terms at checkout.
- Value benefits only if you will use them. Count discounts only on purchases you would otherwise make and private-server access only if it is useful to you.
What Roblox’s scale does—and does not—tell you
Roblox reported 144 million daily users for the quarter ending December 31, 2025, in its April 10, 2026 Roblox Plus launch announcement. That figure provides platform context; it does not establish which purchase option is cheaper for an individual player.
