To make a first trade, connect a compatible wallet on the chain where your tokens live, verify both token contracts, keep that chain’s gas token available, and check the quote before signing. Confirmed blockchain transactions are generally irreversible, so begin with a small test swap.
What QuickSwap is—and what it is not
QuickSwap is a decentralized application for token swaps and other DeFi activities. Unlike a centralized exchange, it does not normally hold your assets in an account while you trade. Smart contracts execute transactions from your wallet after you authorize them. You remain responsible for your recovery phrase, network choice, token approvals, and signed transactions; there is no ordinary account-based reversal if you send funds to the wrong address or approve a harmful contract.

QuickSwap began in the Polygon ecosystem. Its official documentation says it launched in October 2021 and was designed for faster, lower-cost transactions than using Ethereum mainnet directly. It has since expanded to multiple networks. “DragonFi” is QuickSwap’s broader ecosystem branding; it does not mean every product uses the same contracts, fees, or availability. See the official overview.
Networks and product availability
As of October 3, 2026, QuickSwap’s official supported-chain documentation lists Polygon PoS, Polygon zkEVM, Base, Immutable zkEVM, Manta Pacific, Soneium, MANTRA, Somnia, Ethereum, X Layer, and Dogechain. Deployments and feature availability can change, and not every product or pool is available on every chain. Check the supported-chains page for the current list.

A token balance belongs to a particular network and contract. USDC on one chain is not automatically available on another. To move assets between networks, you need a supported bridge or cross-chain route; similarly named bridged tokens can have different contracts and risks.
What you can do on QuickSwap
- Swap tokens: Trade through liquidity pools or supported routing services.
- Provide liquidity: Deposit assets into a pool and receive a share of applicable trading fees, subject to pool design and position risks.
- Farm: Deposit eligible liquidity-provider (LP) positions into incentive contracts for possible additional rewards.
- Stake: Use QUICK-related staking products. Rewards are not guaranteed, and token value can change.
- Use advanced trading tools: Limit orders, dTWAP, cross-chain swaps, and perpetual trading may be available through specific integrations and deployments.
QuickPerps is a separate leveraged product, not a normal spot swap. The supported-chain documentation describes up to 50x leverage on a QuickPerps deployment; availability can change. Leverage magnifies losses as well as gains and can lead to liquidation of collateral.
What you need before your first swap
- A compatible EVM wallet, such as a wallet that supports the chain you intend to use.
- Your recovery phrase stored offline. Never enter it into a website or share it with support staff.
- The tokens you want to trade on the same chain selected in QuickSwap.
- A small amount of that network’s native token to pay gas.
- The correct contract address for each token, especially if it is unfamiliar or newly issued. QuickSwap lists official application contract information at Contracts and Addresses; verify the token itself through a trustworthy source for its chain.
- A small test amount before you commit a larger balance.

- Choose your wallet and approve the connection in the wallet. A connection lets the application view a public address; by itself, it does not authorize token spending.
- Check that the wallet and QuickSwap show the same network, and confirm the address shown is yours.
- On the exchange screen, select the token to sell and the token to receive. Verify each contract address before trading.
- Enter the amount to sell or the amount you want to receive. Check the expected output, minimum received (or maximum paid), price impact, slippage tolerance, route, and gas estimate.
- If asked to Approve, review the token and allowance, then confirm the approval transaction in your wallet. This is a separate on-chain action that lets a contract transfer the approved token amount; it is not the swap itself.
- Select Swap, inspect the confirmation details, and confirm in your wallet only if they match your intent.
- Wait for confirmation and check the transaction hash in the block explorer for the selected chain. If the transaction confirms but the token is not visible in your wallet, import the verified token contract manually.
QuickSwap’s swap guide describes the basic select, approve, swap, and confirm flow. Wallet prompts are the final authorization point: do not sign a request you do not understand.

How the quote, price impact, and slippage work
QuickSwap’s automated-market-maker (AMM) pools hold tokens in reserves. The ratio between assets in a pool informs the quoted price; a trade changes that ratio. A trade large in relation to available liquidity usually has greater price impact. Arbitrage trading can bring pool prices closer to prices elsewhere, but there is no named counterparty matched through an order book. QuickSwap documents the mechanics in its guides to swaps and pricing.
- Price impact is how your trade changes the pool price as it executes.
- Slippage tolerance is how much the execution may worsen from the quote before the transaction is rejected. QuickSwap’s technical documentation describes a 0.5% default in its V2 discussion; the live interface, route, token, and product may differ, so use the value shown for your transaction.
- Minimum received (or maximum paid) expresses the transaction’s execution limit after the permitted slippage.
Setting tolerance too low can make a transaction revert if the market moves before execution. Setting it too high can permit a materially worse result; it does not guarantee a good price. Low-liquidity or taxed tokens may behave differently, and raising slippage to force a transaction through can increase exposure to poor execution or sandwich attacks. QuickSwap discusses execution risks in its security documentation.
Swap modes and advanced routes
QuickSwap’s interface can offer several ways to route or schedule a trade. Their availability and execution terms depend on chain, token, and integration; compare the details shown for your transaction rather than assuming the labels mean identical costs.

| Best Trade | Uses available V2 and V3 liquidity and routing integrations to seek an efficient route; QuickSwap documentation says it is powered by ParaSwap’s API. | It is a route-finding feature, not a guarantee of the best possible execution. Liquidity, timing, fees, and slippage affect the result. |
| V2 Market | Uses QuickSwap V2 liquidity and router. | Check the displayed pool fee, liquidity, and quote for the selected pair. |
| V3 Market | Uses QuickSwap V3 liquidity and router. | Concentrated liquidity and pool fee tiers can affect available depth and execution. |
| Limit order | An Orbs integration places an order to execute when the specified market condition is met. | An order may not fill. Check its terms and any third-party execution or taker fee. See the dLIMIT guide. |
| dTWAP | Splits an order into trades over time. | Designed for more advanced execution decisions; trades can incur fees and may not all fill. Review the swap overview. |
| Cross-chain swap | A widget/router powered by Squid and Axelar can route supported assets between chains. | Routes and assets are limited by support. Cross-chain settlement adds bridge and integration risk; monitor the route’s status. |
Fees: what a trade can cost
There is no single fee that applies to every QuickSwap transaction. The total can include a pool trading fee, network gas, aggregator or routing costs, a bridge fee, or a third-party execution fee. Read the live quote and wallet confirmation before signing.

QuickSwap’s technical documentation states that its V2 model charges a 0.30% swap fee distributed to liquidity providers. The same documentation says no protocol fee is currently active in that documented V2 model, while a future 0.05% protocol charge is possible. Those figures should not be applied to every V3 pool, chain, aggregator route, limit order, cross-chain transaction, or perpetual product. See the fee documentation. Gas is paid to process transactions on the selected network, including separate approval transactions where required; it is not the same as a pool fee.
Providing liquidity: V2 and V3
V2 liquidity
In a basic V2 flow, select Pool, choose a token pair, supply both assets in the proportion required by the pool, approve each token if prompted, and confirm the deposit. You receive an LP position or LP tokens representing your share. You can later withdraw, subject to liquidity and transaction costs. Your fee share depends on trading activity and your share of the pool; it is not a fixed return.
V3 concentrated liquidity
V3 lets a liquidity provider choose a price range instead of supplying liquidity across all possible prices. A narrower range can concentrate capital and potentially earn a larger share of fees while the market stays in range, but it needs more monitoring. If price moves outside the range, the position can become one-sided and stop earning active trading fees until price returns or the position is adjusted. A V3 position may be represented by an NFT rather than a fungible V2 LP token.
Liquidity-management options are not available on every QuickSwap chain. The official liquidity-providing guide describes automated liquidity-management integrations on Polygon PoS, Polygon zkEVM, and Dogechain. It gives a V3 fee range of 0.01% to 1.5% depending on factors including volatility, concentration, and total liquidity; this is a pool-fee range, not a return promise.

Liquidity-provider risks
- Impermanent loss: When the relative prices of the two assets diverge, providing liquidity can underperform simply holding them. The name does not mean losses are harmless or guaranteed to reverse.
- Out-of-range exposure: A V3 position can become one-sided and stop earning active fees when price leaves its range.
- Contract and integration risk: Bugs, exploits, or failures in contracts and connected services can cause loss. An audit or verification is not a guarantee of safety.
- Pool and exit risk: A thin pool may not support an exit at a favorable price. Stablecoin pairs can still lose their peg.
- Token risk: Transfer taxes, rebasing, blacklists, paused transfers, or honeypot behavior can interfere with deposits, swaps, or withdrawals.
- Chain and market risk: Network outages, bridge exploits, sequencer issues, reorganizations, price manipulation, and changing incentives can affect access and value.
Farming is a separate step from providing liquidity
LPing places assets in a pool and may earn the pool’s trading fees. Farming means depositing an eligible LP position in an incentive contract for possible additional token rewards. Only selected pools qualify; rewards may change, end, lose value, or be outweighed by gas, fees, or liquidity losses. QuickSwap documents V2 and V3 farms, and says Gamma farms are enabled only for V3 pools and farms on Polygon PoS and Polygon zkEVM. Check the farms documentation for current eligibility.
Before depositing, understand how to withdraw from both the farm and pool, what transactions are required, and how the reward token works. An advertised APR is variable, not guaranteed income.
QUICK token and staking
QUICK is QuickSwap’s native token. The official documentation describes governance and Dragon’s Lair staking utility for New QUICK, distinguishes Old QUICK from New QUICK, and describes a conversion mechanism. It lists a total supply of 1 billion QUICK and circulating supply of 706,098,650; these are figures on that documentation page, not a live or permanent supply reading. Token utility does not establish investment value, and staking rewards, if offered, are not guaranteed. Review the QUICK documentation before interacting.
Safety checklist before signing
- Bookmark the official domain and verify its spelling each time; do not trust search advertisements or unsolicited links blindly.
- Confirm the chain in both QuickSwap and your wallet.
- Verify token contract addresses from a trusted source, not from a ticker or token name alone.
- Start with a small test trade and maintain enough native gas token for the intended transactions.
- Read the wallet’s transaction details. Do not sign arbitrary messages or permit requests you do not understand.
- Avoid unlimited token approvals when the interface or wallet lets you set a smaller allowance. Revoke unused approvals only through a reputable tool whose domain you have independently verified.
- Never share your seed phrase or private key. A hardware wallet can improve key protection for significant balances, but it does not remove contract or market risk.
- Treat audits, farming APR, and leverage as information to evaluate—not guarantees of safety or return.
QuickSwap’s security guidance discusses risks including price manipulation and sandwich attacks. Its swap implementation guide also explains why integrations should use safe swap practices.
Common problems and what to do
| Problem | Likely cause | Recommended response |
|---|---|---|
| Balance missing or token unavailable | Wallet is on the wrong chain, or the token is not imported. | Switch to the chain where the asset exists. Verify the contract and import it if necessary. Do not bridge solely because a token name looks the same. |
| Approval fails or keeps appearing | Wrong token or chain, existing allowance behavior, or token-specific restrictions. | Check the selected token and network. For some tokens, QuickSwap’s common-errors documentation describes resetting an existing allowance to zero before setting a new one. Do not approve an unfamiliar request to bypass an error; see common errors. |
| Swap reverts | Slippage tolerance is too low, the quote expired, liquidity is insufficient, gas or timing changed, or the token restricts transfers. | Inspect the transaction failure and verify the token and route. Consider a smaller trade or reassessing the quote; do not immediately resubmit with dramatically higher slippage. |
| Transaction remains pending | Network congestion or wallet gas settings may be delaying confirmation. | Check the transaction hash in the correct block explorer. Avoid repeatedly submitting replacements unless the wallet clearly indicates that replacement is appropriate. |
| Received token is not visible | The wallet may not display the token automatically. | After confirming the transaction, import the verified token contract into the wallet. |
| Bridge transfer is incomplete | Cross-chain settlement may still be pending or may have encountered a route issue. | Check the bridge or router status for that specific transaction; do not treat a source-chain confirmation as proof that destination funds have arrived. |
| Token arrives but cannot be sold | Possible honeypot behavior or transfer restrictions. | Stop signing approvals and investigate the token contract. Do not connect to random recovery sites or pay a stranger who claims they can unlock the funds. |
When QuickSwap is—and is not—a good fit
QuickSwap may suit someone who wants self-custodial, on-chain trading and whose token and sufficient liquidity are available on a supported chain. It is a poor fit if you need chargebacks, account recovery, guaranteed execution at a fixed price, or help reversing an authorized blockchain transaction. It may also be uneconomic for a small trade if gas, bridge, or third-party costs are high, or risky for a large trade relative to pool depth.
A centralized exchange may offer a simpler fiat on-ramp or deeper liquidity for a particular asset, but typically involves custody and may require identity checks depending on the provider and jurisdiction. Another DEX or an aggregator may offer different liquidity or routes, with its own contract and routing dependencies. A limit-order protocol can target a price but may not fill. Compare the actual execution terms and risks rather than assuming one venue is always cheaper or safer.
