For 2026/27, published estimates disagree on both Queens Park Rangers’ wage bill and its highest-paid player. SalarySport estimates a £16,636,880 annual wage bill and lists Tariq Lamptey at £35,000 a week; SalaryLeaks lists Pierce Charles at £30,000 a week and gives a different, narrower payroll total. Neither figure is an official club disclosure, so there is no confirmed answer.
Who is QPR’s highest-paid player in 2026/27?
It depends on which salary database you use. SalarySport names Tariq Lamptey as QPR’s highest earner, estimating his pay at £35,000 per week, or £1.82 million annualised. SalaryLeaks names Pierce Charles at £30,000 per week, or £1.6 million annualised. These are publisher estimates, not verified contract figures.
| Publisher | Highest earner listed | Estimated weekly pay | Annualised estimate | Season and coverage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SalarySport | Tariq Lamptey | £35,000 | £1.82 million | 2026/27; database page describes 67 players, including academy-age players |
| SalaryLeaks | Pierce Charles | £30,000 | £1.6 million | 2026/27; the displayed list contains eight players |
SalaryLeaks says comprehensive Championship salary data is rarely published and that many figures are informed estimates based on available reporting and club wage-bill information. That qualification applies here: neither database establishes what QPR has agreed to pay a player in a current contract.
What is QPR’s estimated annual wage bill?
For 2026/27, SalarySport estimates QPR’s wage bill at £16,636,880 a year, equivalent to £319,940 per week, across 67 players. The site’s FAQ says its salary information covers all 67 players; its separate average for players aged 22 or older uses a 19-player denominator and should not be mistaken for the full wage bill.

- Recommended cold water cleaning
SalaryLeaks’ current page, last updated 12 August 2026, displays eight players whose listed annual salaries total £5.1 million before bonuses. Its FAQ gives a separate estimate of £5.9 million including bonuses. Those are distinct figures from the same publisher and should not be combined or treated as a single reconciled total.
The totals are not like-for-like: SalarySport describes a 67-player dataset, whereas the SalaryLeaks page displays eight names. Differences in squad coverage and treatment of bonuses make a direct comparison unreliable; the figures should not be blended into a consensus estimate.
Rank #2
Why the estimates are uncertain
- They are not official payroll figures. No current 2026/27 QPR payroll disclosure or individually confirmed salary was established.
- Coverage differs. SalarySport’s page concerns 67 players, while SalaryLeaks displays eight. A listed-player total is not necessarily a whole-club total.
- Salary definitions differ. SalaryLeaks distinguishes its table total before bonuses from its FAQ estimate including bonuses.
- The databases can change. SalaryLeaks gives an update date of 12 August 2026; the SalarySport page shows 2026/27 data but no equivalent update date.
How the figures compare with QPR’s 2025/26 estimates
For historical context only, SalaryLeaks estimated QPR’s 2025/26 first-team salaries at £15.2 million and listed Jimmy Dunne as the highest earner at £27,000 per week, or £1.4 million annualised. Those previous-season estimates do not settle who earns the most or what the club’s wage bill is in 2026/27.
