“Permohonan anda telah diterima” means “your application has been received.” For a Program Rekalibrasi Tenaga Kerja 2.0 (RTK 2.0) acknowledgment, it confirms receipt—not approval, an appointment, permit issuance, or a final decision. The official Immigration Department portal currently labels RTK as closed, but that does not determine the outcome of an application submitted earlier.
What the acknowledgment confirms
A surfaced example of an RTK 2.0 acknowledgment uses the wording “Kami dengan sukacitanya memaklumkan bahawa permohonan anda telah diterima” (“We are pleased to inform you that your application has been received”). It includes application and employer details. The copy is hosted outside the government domain, so it can help explain the wording but is not an authenticated lookup of any individual case. The important distinction is between receipt and outcome: a received application has entered the process, but the phrase does not establish that the application meets the requirements or has been approved. A reference beginning RCB/RTK/V2/23 likewise should not be treated by itself as proof of approval or current status.
What RTK 2.0 was
Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia (JIM) described the Rekalibrasi Tenaga Kerja program as a special program to regularize eligible undocumented migrants (PATI) as foreign workers legally employed by qualifying employers, subject to conditions decided by the government through JIM and the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN). Is RTK 2.0 still open?
As checked on 8 October 2026, JIM’s appointment portal labels “PROGRAM REKALIBRASI TENAGA KERJA” as “CLOSED.” The same portal displays information for the separate Migrant Repatriation Program. A portal closure label describes the program’s current published status; it does not tell you whether an earlier application was approved, rejected, or remains pending. How to check an individual application
- Gather the complete application reference, the employer’s details, and the acknowledgment message or document.
- Ask the employer or applicant to contact JIM directly and request the current case status and any required next action, quoting the complete reference.
- Rely on a direct response from JIM for case-specific instructions. Do not infer a decision from the receipt wording, a reference prefix, or the portal’s general closure notice.

JIM’s FAQ, updated 19 January 2023, listed employer sectors and conditions for RTK participation. These are historical published criteria, not assurance of current eligibility:
- Sectors listed: manufacturing, construction, agriculture, plantations, mining and quarrying, specified security-guard cases, foreign domestic helpers, and services.
- Service subsectors listed: restaurants, cleaning, wholesale and retail, cargo handling, spas, reflexology, male caddies, hotels, island resorts, laundries, scrap-metal businesses, and inland warehouses.
- Frozen sectors identified: textiles, goldsmiths, barber shops, welfare homes, and recycling.
- Additional conditions: security-guard participation was subject to quotas approved by JIM and KDN. The FAQ also set conditions for employer representatives and stated that only licensed private employment agencies could handle matters together with employers in specified circumstances.
The JIM checklist marked updated through 18 January 2023 described paperwork and representative requirements for its process at that time. It called for original documents matching required copies for verification and neatly bound application forms and supporting-document copies. For a company representative attending JIM, it specified executive level or above, inclusion in the latest three consecutive months of complete EPF contribution statements, identification, and an employer authorization letter. Because the FAQ and checklist date from January 2023 and RTK is currently marked closed on the portal, use them as historical context rather than current application instructions. Confirm any case-specific document request with JIM.
