“Free” means the phone’s installment payment can be offset by monthly promotional credits. It does not mean that AT&T gives you the phone with no financial conditions.

- AT&T finances the phone at its regular retail price. The product page lists that price as $1,049.99.
- Submit an eligible Pixel trade-in and meet the plan requirements.
- AT&T applies credits to your monthly bills, potentially totaling up to $1,050 over 36 months.
- Those credits can reduce the device payment to $0 per month for the full credit period.
The credit is spread across the billing period rather than being an instant discount. You still pay for qualifying wireless service, sales tax, and any applicable activation, upgrade, shipping or accessory charges.
What Pixel trade-in qualifies?
AT&T’s current promotional language describes the required trade-in as an old Pixel phone of any year and any condition. That wording should not automatically be read as “any phone from any manufacturer.” Confirm the exact eligible-device list and trade-in value in your cart.
“Any condition” also does not remove operational requirements. AT&T may require you to own the device, submit it by a deadline, provide a valid IMEI, remove activation locks and pass inspection or verification. Before shipping, photograph the phone, record its IMEI, save the order and trade-in confirmations, and keep tracking information.

How to order the Pixel 10 Pro
- Open AT&T’s official Pixel 10 Pro buying page.
- Choose the storage capacity and color.
- Identify the transaction as an upgrade, new line or switch, as applicable.
- Select the installment option and enter your wireless plan information.
- Verify that the selected unlimited plan is marked eligible.
- Enter your old Pixel’s model and condition for the trade-in.
- Review the device payment, estimated credits, tax, down payment and fees.
- Read the full offer terms before submitting the order.
- Send the trade-in promptly using AT&T’s instructions and retain proof of shipment.
- Check later bills to confirm that the promotional credits begin correctly.
Is the Pixel 10 really $7.99 per month?
Not according to the current AT&T Pixel 10 product page checked on August 18, 2026. That page lists the standard Pixel 10 at $10.99 per month, reduced from $23.62 per month, with no trade-in required when purchased on installments with eligible unlimited service.
The $7.99 figure may come from an older promotion, a particular new-line or plan configuration, a separate account credit, a different storage option, a cached page or an expired listing. AT&T’s browse pages have also shown other prices, including $8.99. None of those results verifies $7.99 as the current general price for the standard Pixel 10.
Use $7.99 only if AT&T reproduces it in your dated checkout for your specific account and configuration. Otherwise, budget using the current product-page price of $10.99.

How to get the lowest displayed Pixel 10 price
The current no-trade-in offer is simpler than the Pro promotion: choose the Pixel 10 on an installment plan and maintain eligible unlimited service. AT&T also displays a separate online-only $200 discount for a new line. That new-line discount should not be confused with the $10.99 monthly device offer.
Some listings may attach different requirements to different price variants. Before ordering, confirm whether the price applies to an existing-line upgrade, a new line or a switcher transaction, and whether the storage configuration is the same one you selected.
The costs that the headline leaves out
Sales tax and fees
AT&T says sales tax on the phone’s full retail price is due at sale. A $0-down offer is generally limited to well-qualified customers. Depending on the transaction, activation, upgrade, shipping and other account fees may also apply.

The wireless plan
The plan may cost more over three years than the phone. AT&T describes the requirement as an eligible or qualifying unlimited plan and warns that speed restrictions and other terms may apply. Confirm whether your existing plan qualifies, whether you must change plans, and whether prepaid, business, FirstNet or employee-discount accounts are excluded.
The 36-month commitment
Credits generally depend on keeping the qualifying service and installment arrangement. The precise consequences vary by offer, so read the terms attached to your checkout before cancelling service, porting out, changing plans, paying off the phone, returning it, suspending service or upgrading early.

What the Pixel 10 costs over time
At the displayed $10.99 monthly price, the device portion is approximately $395.64 over 36 months before taxes and other charges. That is a calculation from AT&T’s advertised monthly figure, not a separate total quoted by AT&T.
For the Pixel 10 Pro, the advertised $0 monthly device payment depends on up to $1,050 in credits. A realistic comparison should include:
- the device payment before promotional credits;
- the device payment after credits;
- 36 months of required wireless service;
- sales tax on the full retail price;
- activation or upgrade charges;
- the value you could have received by selling the trade-in elsewhere;
- any cost of moving to a qualifying plan; and
- the unpaid device balance and lost future credits if you leave early.
Who should take the deal?
Existing AT&T customer with an old Pixel
The Pro offer is strongest if you already have an eligible unlimited plan, own an old Pixel with little resale value and expect to stay with AT&T for all 36 months. You avoid the trade-in hassle of selling the phone privately, but you give up flexibility and may lose credits if your circumstances change.
New customer who needs AT&T service anyway
The deal can make sense if AT&T’s service fits your budget and you need a new line regardless of the phone promotion. Compare the full service cost with your current carrier and confirm whether the transaction is a new-line offer or a regular upgrade offer.
Flexible shopper with a valuable phone
Buying through AT&T may be less attractive if you have a low-cost wireless plan, may switch carriers within three years, want an unlocked phone immediately, or can sell your trade-in for substantially more. The Google Store’s Pixel pages offer direct unlocked purchases and trade-in options, although its prices and promotions differ from AT&T’s bill-credit structure.
Common problems and what to check
- The price changes at checkout: Recheck the plan, line type, storage option and promotion date.
- Credits do not appear: Contact AT&T promptly and provide your order confirmation and trade-in tracking.
- The trade-in is rejected: Check for activation locks, missed deadlines or an IMEI mismatch.
- You want to change plans: Verify eligibility before switching; a cheaper plan may end future credits.
- You expect nothing due today: Remember that full-price sales tax and possible fees may still be charged.
- You see $7.99 in a search result: Treat it as outdated or configuration-specific until it appears in your current AT&T cart.
Bottom line
AT&T’s free Pixel 10 Pro deal is real as a 36-month bill-credit promotion: you need an eligible Pixel trade-in, qualifying unlimited service and the ability to remain eligible for the full term. The standard Pixel 10 offer currently supported by AT&T’s product page is $10.99 per month, not $7.99. Compare the service cost, upfront tax, trade-in value and loss of flexibility before deciding that the carrier price is your lowest total cost.
