What NIOS has announced
The NIOS SDMIS notifications index lists “Notification and Datesheet for Exams of Secondary and Senior Secondary courses to be held in Oct./Nov. 2026,” dated 8 October 2026. Secondary and Senior Secondary are the official course names corresponding to Class 10 and Class 12. NIOS’s exam fee registration page also identifies October 2026 as the next public-exam period for these courses.
How to check the official date sheet
- Open the NIOS SDMIS notifications page.
- Find the notice dated 08-10-2026 for the Secondary and Senior Secondary exams to be held in Oct./Nov. 2026.
- Open the linked notice or date-sheet document and check the relevant course and subject for its exam date, time, and any candidate instructions.
Use the notice itself to confirm timetable details; the listing establishes that the date sheet was announced but does not provide individual subject rows.
Do not confuse the theory timetable with the practical schedule
NIOS Regional Centre Bhopal separately lists Notification 57/2026, dated 31 August 2026, as the practical date sheet for the October 2026 public examination. That practical schedule is a different notice from the October 8 announcement. Check that you are reading the document for the exam component you need: practical or theory.

Where this session fits in the NIOS exam cycle
NIOS describes its public examinations as taking place twice a year, in April–May and October–November. Its current registration page identifies October 2026 as the upcoming session for Secondary and Senior Secondary courses.
