Nikki Garcia’s divorce from Artem Chigvintsev was reported as settled in May 2025, with terms that include $3,500 a month in child support and a $200,000 lump-sum payment to Chigvintsev. Those figures come from TMZ’s report of documents it said it obtained; the complete agreement and any later changes are not established in the sources available here.
What the reported settlement says about money
TMZ reported on May 15, 2025, that the couple had reached a settlement and a judge had signed off on documents. According to TMZ’s account, Garcia would pay:
- $3,500 per month in child support.
- $200,000 total to Chigvintsev as a lump sum, paid in two $100,000 installments: one then and another before the end of 2025.
TMZ also reported that Garcia would pay their son’s speech therapist, the parents would split extracurricular activity costs, and major holidays would alternate each year. The report said Garcia would retain trusts in her name. These are terms as TMZ described them from documents it said it obtained—not details independently verified here against the complete filed agreement.
How those terms differ from the initial requests
Reports about the September 2024 filings described positions each party sought at the beginning of the divorce. They were requests, not final orders:

| Issue | Initial position reported in September 2024 | Term reported in May 2025 |
|---|---|---|
| Custody | Garcia sought sole legal and physical custody; Chigvintsev sought shared custody. (Miami Herald/Mamas Uncut, 2024) | Major holidays would alternate yearly, according to TMZ’s report. (TMZ, 2025) |
| Child support and expenses | Chigvintsev sought spousal support and attorney fees; the September summary did not establish a final child-support amount. (Miami Herald/Mamas Uncut, 2024) | Garcia would pay $3,500 monthly child support and their son’s speech therapist; extracurricular activities would be split, according to TMZ. (TMZ, 2025) |
| Spousal support | Garcia asked that both parties’ rights to spousal support end, while Chigvintsev sought support. (Miami Herald/Mamas Uncut, 2024) | TMZ’s settlement account reported a lump-sum payment to Chigvintsev, but the available account does not establish a continuing spousal-support award. (TMZ, 2025) |
| Property and trusts | The September filing summary cited here does not establish a final property division. (Miami Herald/Mamas Uncut, 2024) | Garcia would retain trusts in her name, according to TMZ. (TMZ, 2025) |
Child support is distinct from spousal support: the reported $3,500 monthly amount is for their child, while the initial filings addressed each party’s request concerning support for a spouse. The reported lump sum should not be relabeled as monthly spousal maintenance; TMZ described it as a one-time payment in installments.
What is—and is not—confirmed
The available accounts establish that TMZ described the terms as part of a settlement and reported judicial sign-off. They do not include the complete filed agreement, so they do not allow an independent check of all its language, conditions, or payment mechanics. Nor do they verify whether a later modification changed the reported terms. The $3,500 monthly figure and $200,000 total are therefore best understood as terms reported in May 2025, not as a verified current payment balance.

In December 2024, Garcia spoke publicly on The Nikki & Brie Show about privacy and the emotional impact of the separation. The Miami Herald quoted her saying, “my son’s protection and privacy is the most important.” Those comments describe her own perspective; they are not findings about disputed events or evidence explaining how financial terms were calculated.

- September 2024: Miami Herald/Mamas Uncut summarized the initial filings, reporting that Garcia had filed first and Chigvintsev responded on September 11. It also quoted his lawyer, Ilona Antonyan, saying the couple were “focused on co-parenting and working together for the best interests of their son.”
- December 2, 2024: The outlet reported Garcia’s public comments about her son’s privacy and the emotional impact of the split.
- May 15, 2025: TMZ reported settlement terms based on documents it said it obtained, including child support, a lump sum, child-related expenses, holiday arrangements, and trusts in Garcia’s name.
The September report also said Chigvintsev’s lawyer would not comment on pending proceedings. A separate December account reported that he had been arrested in August 2024 and was never charged; an arrest is not a conviction and does not establish financial liability.
