The $2.2 million figure in the headline describes the ranch in that report; it is not the same as the reported asking price. Neither the property’s present condition nor its current listing status is confirmed here.
Which property is the report about?
The story concerns West’s reported ranch in Calabasas, California—not his Wyoming ranches or his Malibu home. Realtor.com’s October 22, 2025 article said West bought the property in 2018, intending to use it for Sunday Service gatherings. The report said it was later overhauled into a bachelor pad with two guesthouses, six bedrooms, and seven bathrooms. These details are reported by Realtor.com, not independently verified property records.

What was reported about the ranch’s condition?
Realtor.com described the main home as partially caved in, with cracked windows, missing tiles, and fragments of debris. The article characterized the ranch as decaying and included imagery of the property. Those descriptions are observations reported in the story, not findings from a professional building inspection or confirmation of the home’s condition today.
Why are there two different price figures?
The report used “$2.2 million” to describe the ranch, while separately saying it was listed for $1.99 million with Sotheby’s when the article was published on October 22, 2025. The figures have different contexts: the latter was a reported asking price at that time. The article does not establish a sale, a price reduction, or the property’s current asking price.

Can public records confirm ownership or sale history?
Los Angeles County says California real-estate records are public, but its Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk does not make those records searchable online through the department. The county Assessor has a separate parcel-search portal. These general resources do not, by themselves, verify the ranch’s ownership, transaction history, or physical condition.
