Josh Brownhill is no longer at Burnley: he joined Saudi Pro League club Al-Shabab in September 2025. Leicester and Wolves were reported as interested in him before that move, while the only specific Burnley wage figure located is SalarySport’s estimate of £30,000 a week for 2024—not a confirmed salary.
What is known about Brownhill’s Burnley wages?
SalarySport estimates that Brownhill earned £30,000 per week at Burnley in 2024. That figure is a third-party estimate, not an official contract disclosure. No official source reviewed states his exact final Burnley salary or specifies bonuses, image-rights income, or other compensation. SalarySport’s player page also displays estimates for his later Al-Shabab period; those figures relate to a different club and should not be treated as Burnley wages.
Capology also describes its salary data as estimates. Its listings place Brownhill at Al-Shabab for 2025–26 and 2026–27 and estimate a contract expiry of 30 June 2027. These are database estimates, not club-confirmed pay or contract terms. Capology’s player page
Were Leicester and Wolves interested in him?
Yes, but the reporting is historical. BBC Sport reported on 11 September 2025 that Wolves and Leicester were among the clubs keen on Brownhill before he joined Al-Shabab. That establishes reported interest at the time, not a completed offer, negotiation, or renewed approach since. BBC Sport’s report of his move

BBC Sport reported that Brownhill scored 18 goals in Burnley’s 2024–25 promotion season. Across five years at the club, he made 211 appearances and scored 32 goals. Those figures help explain his appeal to other clubs, but they do not establish the terms of any interest or offer.
