No: Civilization VII is no longer available to pre-order. It launched worldwide on February 11, 2025, and the official PC store pages reviewed do not verify the headline’s 12% discount as a current offer. Before buying, compare the live price and edition contents on Steam and Epic Games Store; both sell the PC game digitally.
Is Civ 7 still 12% off on PC?
The game has launched, so a pre-order is no longer possible. 2K announced the worldwide launch for February 11, 2025, and lists PC availability through Steam and Epic Games Store. The available official pages do not establish that the 12% pre-order offer is still active, or identify its original retailer, region, price, or end date. Treat it as a historical promotion, not a price you can rely on today.
Check the current price and any sale end date directly on the store page for your region. Prices and sale terms can change, and a discount shown on one storefront should not be assumed to apply on the other.
Where can you buy the PC version?
2K lists Steam and Epic Games Store as PC storefronts. The official support FAQ describes their PC editions as digital only, so these are not PC disc purchases.

2K’s support FAQ also mentions a physical Collector’s Edition with themed collectibles, but that does not establish that it includes a PC game disc or is currently available from any particular retailer.
How should you compare editions?
Deluxe and Settler’s include additional content, and Settler’s bundles multiple collections and packs. Exact contents can vary by edition and storefront, so read the current listing before paying. Don’t assume an add-on is included just because it appears alongside the base game in a store.

Check PC requirements and account needs
- Steam lists a Windows minimum of 8 GB RAM and 20 GB storage. Check its current full requirements, including processor and graphics card, before buying.
- Online play requires an internet connection and a 2K Account. Steam says single-player does not require a linked account.
See the current Steam listing and support FAQ for platform and account details.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.A practical buying checklist
- Open Steam or Epic Games Store and select your region to see the current price.
- Compare the edition’s itemized contents with any downloadable add-ons you want; avoid paying twice for content already included in a bundle.
- Check the sale end date and checkout total on that storefront rather than relying on the old 12% headline.
- Confirm that your PC meets the full current system requirements.
- If you plan to play online, account for the internet connection and 2K Account requirement.
Why old headlines may still mention 12% off
A pre-order discount applies before a game’s release, while Civilization VII launched in 2025. The current official pages reviewed here do not confirm a live 12% offer, so the headline is not a dependable guide to today’s price. Take-Two and 2K said the Civilization franchise had sold more than 73 million copies in their 2025 launch announcement; that figure is for the franchise, not Civilization VII alone. Take-Two/2K’s launch announcement gives the date and franchise context.
