The location announced in August 2024 is in Edinburgh. Climax’s contact page currently lists its Edinburgh office at 83 Princes Street, Edinburgh, EH2 2ER. That is the address listed now; the company’s opening announcement does not establish that these were the exact premises when the studio opened.
For a personal-finance reader considering work in the game industry, the location and the hiring distinction matter: an announced expansion may indicate a team-building plan, but it is not evidence that a particular role is available today.

What did the company say about building the team?
Keywords Studios said Climax had built up its Edinburgh-based team over the months before the announcement and intended to continue recruiting. The release gives no headcount or employment-impact figure, and its recruitment plan should not be read as confirmation of current vacancies.
Anyone evaluating a possible job opportunity should check Climax’s live careers listings for the role, location, employment terms, and whether applications are still open. Edinburgh roles have appeared in the company’s listings, but their current status can change.
Which games did Climax cite as co-development examples?

Simon Gardner, Head of Climax Studios, described the opening as “the next step in our evolution.” In the same statement, quoted by Keywords Studios on 19 August 2024, he said the company had continued to grow and innovate as a service provider and developer, and that another location would allow it to “offer new roles to game industry talent and support our clients and partners more than ever.”
Keywords’ release described Climax in 2024 as “35-year-strong.” That is the company’s description in that year, not a verified exact founding date.
