The application window for the Indian Navy’s SSR (Medical) 02/2027 batch closed on 6 April 2026 at 17:00. The form is not open today, 8 October 2026, and the available sources do not establish that the deadline was extended. Candidates needed more than a general Class 12 pass: the notice specified Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB), 50% aggregate marks and at least 40% in each of those subjects.
Has the Indian Navy SSR (Medical) deadline been extended?
The 02/2027 batch notice set the application period from 14 March 2026 at 00:01 to 6 April 2026 at 17:00. That window has passed. The Indian Express reported the same dates in March 2026, and neither source cited here reports an extension. The notice copy is hosted by Bihar Job Alert; The Indian Express report corroborates the dates.
For later recruitment cycles, check the Join Indian Navy portal for current notices and candidate-specific updates. Do not rely on an old application link or assume that a later batch has the same dates or conditions.
Could a Class 12 student apply?
A student appearing in the 2025–26 Class 12 board examination could apply for this cycle if they met the other stated conditions. Their results and required marks had to be established at the prescribed later stage. Passing Class 12 alone was not sufficient.

How selection was structured
Selection began with Stage I, the computer-based Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET). Candidates who progressed were to face Stage II, consisting of a physical fitness test, written examination and recruitment medical examination. The notice described the later schedule as tentative, so candidates should use the candidate portal for batch-specific updates.
