What was the TES 51 notification?
TES 51 was the Indian Army’s 51st 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme recruitment round, reported in October 2023. It offered a route to Permanent Commission and advertised 90 vacancies. The figure belongs to that specific recruitment notice; it does not describe later TES courses. Scroll’s October 16, 2023 announcement reported the opening of applications.
When did applications close?

What were TES 51’s eligibility conditions?

- Age and marital status: Unmarried male and female candidates born from July 2, 2004, through July 1, 2007, inclusive.
- Education: 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board, with at least 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- Entrance exam: Candidates had to have appeared in JEE (Mains) 2023.
These are not current eligibility rules for a later course. For comparison, TES 56 was a separate recruitment round; its conditions do not change those that applied to TES 51.
How did the reported application process work?

- Visit the Indian Army recruitment website and open Notifications under the Officer Selection tab.
- Select Apply Online and enter the basic information requested to register.
- Continue to Part 2, upload the required documents and submit the application.
- Print the downloaded application copy for your records.
What happened after applications?
According to the TES 51 reporting, applications were shortlisted on merit for an SSB interview. Shortlisted candidates were then to be called for the interview and medical and physical fitness tests. The reporting describes the sequence but does not establish outcomes for any particular candidate.
How to check a later TES recruitment round
TES course numbers identify distinct recruitment rounds. If you are looking for an open opportunity, consult the official advertisement for the specific course and confirm its dates, eligibility and application link there. Do not use TES 51’s expired deadline or criteria to determine eligibility for a later round. Scroll’s TES 56 notice concerns a separate course, not an update to TES 51.
