The Indian Army NCC Special Entry headline about 76 posts refers to the 58th Course, scheduled for October 2025—not an application window open now. Scroll reported that applications closed on March 15, 2025. For a current cycle, check the latest notice on the official Indian Army recruitment website; dates and eligibility can change from course to course.
What the 76-post announcement covered
Scroll’s February 18, 2025 report concerned the Indian Army NCC Special Entry Scheme 58th Course, with training scheduled for October 2025. It reported 76 vacancies in total: 70 for NCC men and six for NCC women. These figures belong to that historical course and should not be treated as the vacancy count for a later intake.
The reported application deadline was March 15, 2025. That date has passed, so applicants cannot use the 58th Course announcement to apply now.
