If your phone is a Google Pixel, Google lists Asurion or uBreakiFix as U.S. repair partners and describes both mail-in and walk-in options for out-of-warranty repairs. The routes available depend on the device, warranty status, and location. Google’s repair-partner information and repair-options guidance can help you identify a route, but confirm that your model and situation qualify before traveling or shipping the phone.
What happens during diagnostics—and what might they cost?
The company advertises free smartphone diagnostics, but its FAQ distinguishes basic diagnostics from more complicated troubleshooting. Those advanced tests may cost $39.99 to $59.99, according to uBreakiFix’s FAQ. The company says it will tell you about a fee beforehand and apply it to the repair if you proceed.

Staff may be able to give a ballpark price range before examining the device, but the FAQ says they avoid a firm quote until they have inspected it. Ask what the diagnostic covers, whether any fee applies, and whether the amount would be credited toward a repair before authorizing paid work.
How long could a phone repair take?
uBreakiFix says most phone repairs are completed as soon as the same day. That is a general company claim, not a promised turnaround for every model, fault, or location. The FAQ notes that some repairs take longer depending on parts availability and says the company will provide status and timing updates.

For iPhones, a location page says customers may be asked to disable the passcode and Find My so diagnostic tests can run. That is a possible request, not a universal requirement. Ask the store what access it needs and how to prepare your particular device. Do not hand over account credentials; clarify any request you do not understand.
What warranty applies after a repair?
uBreakiFix advertises a one-year limited warranty on repairs. Its FAQ excludes liquid-damage repairs and repairs performed under an OEM warranty or another coverage plan; those repairs are governed by the applicable plan’s terms. Ask for the warranty terms for the work being done, including what repair it covers and how to seek service if the same issue returns.
